would like to understand the accomplishment, why it is important to you and what you have learned from

Leadership is the ability that enables an individual to get other people to do willingly what they have the
ability to do, but might not ordinarily do on their own. A good leader knows when to inspire and direct
members to work together as a team in order to achieve the goals. My most important leadership
accomplishment from the last 5 years is I have been a leader to most of my assignment groups and
extra-curricular clubs. I have always been an effective leader and manage the group therefore there is a
strong interaction and mutual understanding between the group members. I will always use the
common language and combine all our groupmates efforts for the common goal and strategy. It is from
every groupmate’s cooperation and joint efforts depends the result of the course works. I always make
sure there is close interaction and influence on each other, united by common ideas, and activity. It is
always a collection of groups of people, and the work of each group directly affects the outcome of the
assignment. Therefore, as a leader I will always organize an effective group work and lead it to high
results.

Personally, I have faced a lot of challenges especially during the pandemic. As a student the common we
faced is depression, stress and anxiety. During my college days, I will have constant anxiety attacks that
causes severe depression. I have always felt nervous and scared that I wouldn’t able to perform well in
my academics and disappoint my parents. Due to constant worrying, I fell into depression. I used to feel
blue very often, that no one cares about me, no one is there for me, I started to distance myself from my
loved ones. Not only that, my university courses often make me stressed out with tons of assessment
and hard to score courses made everything even harder. I had to burn the midnight oil just to able to get
passing marks. Well, I was grateful that I have my best friend and great company around me. Good
vibes, great support, and finally opened up about my problems. My friend didn’t really give a solution as
I took a lot of time for myself to heal but at least she was there when I was down, did not gave up on me
and definitely helped with me studies. Now, I am slowly healing and able to cope up with my left behind
studies. I am thankful for my friend for being with me during my ups and downs. I have also taught one
shall never give up on themselves no matter how hard are the hurdles.

My ambition in the future is to be a successful educator. As a teacher, my contribution will always strive
to fulfill their responsibility to society and the country by not spreading teachings that could damage the
interests of students, society or the country, or that are contrary to the National Pillars. Teachers should
also often cultivate attitudes and values in each student that can guide them to become loyal,
responsible citizens, respect for the elderly and cultural, ethnic and religious differences. In addition,
respect the community we serve and fulfill our responsibilities as members of the community. Next, we
also need to encourage cooperation between teachers and parents and the community, as well as
practicing polite behavior that is accepted by the community. Teachers also do not engage in activities
that affect their competence as a teacher, such as doing business during school hours. In addition, we
also strive to fulfill our responsibilities diligently and diligently in line with professional and social
progress. Next, we need to always be ready to help colleagues especially those who are just becoming a
teacher. Finally, we need to be members for a teacher change. My main mission is to develop a world-
class education system to develop the full potential of individuals and meet the aspirations of Malaysia
in the next 5 or 10 years of time.

Tunku Scholars are expected to uphold Tunku’s values and to serve the nation. If given RM5,000, how
would you use these funds to create a project that helps your community in a way that reflects Tunku
values? In your answer, we would like to see a clear aim for the project as well as the expected impact of
the project. Attention: The RM5000 in this question is given on top of the scholarship and living allowance
that is given.

First of all, with the RM 5000 fund that is given, I would like to create a project like a unity camp
involving university students and lecturers which may help our community or our nation’s future in a
way that reflects Tunku values which are Honor, Leadership, Compassion and Unity. The main aim for
this project is to see individuals as Malaysian first, regardless of gender, color or creed and to honor our
diversity and interdependence; and to acknowledge our role as global citizens connected by a shared
humanity. Staying united is good for our growth as well as the nation’s development. This is also good for the
family in particular and all-round development of children. Via this camp, we can do something to honour
our community with utmost integrity and sincerity, which Tunku did even when no eye is watching, is
the honour taken upon oneself that shapes his identity. I would happily involve myself as an organizer of
this camp to make sure I lead the self and coach and guide others. Last but not the least, there must be
compassion to serve others with the utmost empathy and understanding; to look beyond one’s own
situation to be of service to others. We can accomplish big tasks, rely on the people in times of need and
nurture youth power in a better way. Safety and security can be assured by the national unity. Every citizen
must work towards having full unity in the country.
