What do we see in the Air Speed Indicator? ASI shows IAS
* Constant dynamic pressure means constant IAS. (sabit IAS’ta uçuyor demek uçak etrafında sabit dinamik basınçla uçuyor
demek. Yani L = ½ rho V2 cL S denklemindeki ½ rho V2 sabit, aynı cl’de yani aynı angle of attack’de uçabilirsin demek. )
½ ρ MSL (ISA) IAS2 = ½ ρ actual TAS2 olarak kullanılabilir. Yani ISA kullandığı zaman IAS, gerçek yoğunluğu kullanıldığı zaman gerçek
hızı TAS’ı kullan. Soruda sadece ρ diyosa, actual ρ yu kastediyodur. 6562,13109,16565

When velocity increases, induced drag decreases.
Induced Drag’i azaltma yöntemleri (yani vortex’i engelleme yöntemleri)
drag i azaltır.

Flap decreases the critical AOA:
Flap açıldığında eff. aoa artar, çünkü trailing edge aşağı iniyor, chord ile airflow arasındaki açı artıyor. Örnek: 16 derecede
uçarken bi anda flap açarsan eff. aoa 19 olabilir stall a girebilirsin, o yüzden burnu aşağı eğmek gerekiyor, eff.aoa 16 ya

Uçağın stabil olması yani ilk konumuna geri dönebilmesi için toplamda nose-down moment yaratması gerekir.
Kanat’tan nose up destabilizing moment
Yatay kuyruktan nose down stabilizing moment
Bu iki moment’in, yani destabilizing ve stabilizing moment’in eşitlendiği noktaya Neutral Point denir. CG neutral
Yani CG neutral point’te iken Neutral Static Stability olur.
Uçağın stabil olması için yatay kuyruktan gelen nose-down moment’in baskın çıkması gerekir, bunun için de
yatay kuyruğun moment kolunu uzatmak ve CG’yi öne taşımak gerekir.
CG neutral point’in önündeyse Positive Static Stability
CG neutral point’te ise Neutral Static Stability
CG neutral point’in gerisindeyse Negative Static Stability
Uçağı positive Static Stability’e sahip olması istendiği için fwd limit ve aft limit neutral point in önünde
belirlenir.

γ: glide angle
* uçağın minimum açıyla süzülebilmesi için;
yani minimum glide angle için tan γ ‘ın minimum olması yani D/L nin minimum olması gerekir. Bu da eşittir L/D maximum!
Buradan, glide angle ın ve dolayısıyla glide distance ın L/D oranına bağlı olduğu gözüküyor.
2348,3876,6704,12989,3422,13201,16298,13193,12944,3843,14486

229.) Which statement about induced drag and tip vortices is correct?
a) The flow direction at the upper side of the wing has a component in wing root direction, the flow at the
underside of the wing in wing tip direction.
b) The flow direction at the upper and under side of the wing, both deviate in wing tip direction.
c) Tip vortices can be diminished by vortex generators.

b) roll to the right in a right turn.
c) roll to the right in the case of a positive sideslip angle (aeroplane nose to the right).

446.) When flutter damping of control surfaces is obtained by mass balancing, these weights will be located with
respect to the hinge of the control surface:
476.) How does VMCG change with increasing field elevation and temperature ?
a) increases, because at a lower density a larger IAS is necessary to generate the required rudder force
b) decreases, because the engine thrust decreases.
c) decreases, because VMCG is expressed in IAS which decreases with constant TAS and decreasing density
d) increases, because VMCG is related to V1 and VR and those speeds increase if the density decreases
