TOPIC: WATER: PHYSICAL STATES OF

WATER.
What is Water?
Water is a natural resource and its
characteristics are that it is a liquid that has no
odor, tasteless, tasteless, colorless and covers
almost three quarters of our planet, most of the
water is salty.
Importance of water
As we already know, water is the fundamental
element for life on Earth, without it there would
be no living being; That is why it can be said
that: "WITHOUT WATER THERE IS NO LIFE",
and it is essential because:
1.- Without drinking water we could not survive.
2.- In daily life, water is essential to bathe, wash
clothes, dishes.
3.- For the animals to survive.
4.- For the plants and they grow.
What are the Physical Changes of Water?

It can appear in all three physical states: liquid,


solid, and gas.
Liquid state:
Liquid water is rain, rivers, lakes and oceans
that cover 75% of the planet, in this state the
water takes the shape of the container that
contains it, and remains in this state at room
temperature.
Solid state
 Solid water is when it freezes and forms snow, ice,
hail. In this way, huge masses of ice are created that
cover the coldest places on Earth.
Gaseous state.
It is when liquid water turns into a gas and is what we call
water vapor. An example is when we put water to boil and
its steam comes out.
