(ALERT II) Program

At this momentous day, I am honored to recognize the presence of the supportive and generous people
behind the success of this event, HON. CONG. MARIO VITTORIO “MARVEY” A MARIÑO, District Rep.
Batangas 5th District, HON. MAYOR BEVERLEY ROSE A DIMACUÑA, Batangas City Mayor, MR. GILES
B PUNO, President of First Gen Corporation, CG ADMIRAL ARTEMIO M ABU, Commandant of Philippines
Coast Guard.

Of course, to my command group and to my colleagues in the fire service, other distinguished guests and
friends. Maganda at Pinagpalang Umaga sa ating lahat!

A notable man once said, “If a team is to reach its potential, each player must be willing to subordinate his
personal goals to the good of the team.”

In the recent calamities and disasters faced by our country such as the Super typhoon Odette and Yolanda, the
Magnitude 7.0 Earthquake in Abra, Northern Luzon, the 2020 Taal Volcanic Eruption strongly caused multiple
disruptions and devastations among us. On this afflictions and adversities proved us that our single attempt and
effort as agency, doesn’t suffice and will never be an adequate work to respond to these inevitable scenarios.

Hence, Building Linkages and Partnerships has been our strong hold on this trying times. Creating connections
enable us to actualize our motto "To save lives and properties" with the cooperation of the community and the
Local Government Units as well as other private sectors who are willing to render service and lead all
“Batangueños”. With this in mind, we appreciate everyone's dedication to the obligations that comes with our
sworn duties.

Our shared vision is the result of all of its members and stakeholders' interests and goals. When
everyone who will be guided by this characteristic, everyone is on the same page, going in the same direction
toward unified goals. As key components of a functional community, a positive workplace pervades a sense of
identity and fosters a work atmosphere in which we can thrive.

I take great pride and honor to congratulate the City Government of Batangas, the First Gen
Corporation, the BFP and PCG of Batangas City for the collective efforts and dedication to come up with this
ALERT II PROGRAM. Let us always be the “Lingkod Bayani” of the Filipino family, a servant of prompt
action and a dedicated professional in the frontlines. Once again congratulations and thank you for empowering
us to always work for public trust.
