The biggest thing I learned is staying financially free and saving money when needed.
Prioritize what you spend your money on and budget everything. Watching and hearing Dave
These are all great tips in the articles. My wife and I have already been using them or
plan on using those same tips. Being financially free is a huge relief that seems like few people
get to enjoy. It can be a time consuming process but it is the goal of everyone.
It's hard to say exactly what my wife and I can grow in better financially. I suppose the
biggest thing would be better saving over spending. However, in this economy, it seems like
most people, and even sometimes I feel this way, we aren't really "just living life" but instead we
are just trying to stay alive. Groceries have begun to be too expensive. I have some close friends
of mine who had to choose between rent and groceries. No matter what tips we pick up, the
biggest thing is money but how can I save anything if I can't afford to live today?
With the degree that I would get out of this program, I would make a little more than I am
right now, but the biggest difference for me will be the amount of opportunities I would have. I
could work anywhere in Fire from a Captains position to Chief. I could go to Police and
government and work in a Department of Emergencies even. The doors open for me. However, I
really want to stay in Fire, specifically Wildland Fire. I want to be one of the people who manage
and run the forest from fire to timber sales. I want to make an impact in my state.
