HEALTH TEACHINGS

A. Primary Care

 Encourage the client to socialize with others.


 Encourage the client to comply with home medications.
 Encourage the client to have adequate rest and sleep.
 Encourage to eat meals on time.
 Encourage to have morning exercises.
 Encourage to verbalize feelings.

B. Secondary Care

 Educate each member about the mental disorder.


 Encourage the family to reduce the stress ambiance.
 Encourage the family to be supportive.
 Advised the family to set realistic expectation about the condition of the client.

C. Tertiary Care

 Encourage the client to join psychotherapy treatment.


 Educate the neighbors about the client’s mental disorder.
 Encourage the community to be more understanding and accepting about the client’s
condition.
 Encourage the community to keep the environment peaceful.

RECOMMENDATION

a. Individual, Family and Community


As an individual, instruct the client to socialize with others by talking to her family and
friends. Encourage the client to comply with the home medications, have adequate rest and sleep,
and eat meals on time. Have the client to manage stress by socially connected and steps that she
can reduce stress for example meditation or deep breathing. Let the patient perform morning
exercises for at least 30 minutes, this may improve focus and energy and help you feel calmer.
Have the patient to eat regularly with a nutritious foods, foods such as rich in omega-3 from fish
oils, fish, walnuts and flax seeds improves focus and banish fatigue and balance your mood.
For the family, educate each member about the condition. Having them the knowledge of
the condition helps those informed decisions about how to cope up with symptom. Reduce the
stress ambiance in the family, stress can cause Schizophrenia to flare up, as a family create a
supportive environment for the client. Have the family to set a realistic expectation, it is
important to be realistic about the challenges of Schizophrenia. Help your love one set and
achieved manageable goals and be with the client’s recovery. Encourage to empower your loved
one, support him while still encouraging as much independence and self-help as possible. Be
collaborative family, when their loved one has a voice on the treatment, they will be more
motivated to work towards recovery.
In the community, encourage the client to join Psychotherapy treatment, cognitive
behavior therapy can reduce symptoms and distress in the disorder. When treating
Schizophrenia, the therapist puts a heavy emphasis on understanding the person’s experience,
developing a relationship and explaining psychotic symptoms in realistic terms to defuse their
distressing effect. Encourage to have Assertive community treatment, where community-based
team with a variety of caregivers such as psychiatrist, psychologist, nurse, social worker and or
case manager makes frequent contact with the client.
