Good morning and welcome to the official launch of Times bookstore here at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Before we begin this morning’s proceedings, I would like to highlight that this new store, the largest of any
Times bookstore, marks the beginning of a new era for Times Bookstores. Today we unveil a revamped,
rebranded image, a whole “new look”.
 We are also introducing a host of new features designed to put Times Bookstores at the forefront of the
industry, not only in Malaysia but on the global stage.

A uniquely Times “book shopping” experience awaits readers and shoppers as the new store has been
created with the customer, and only the customer, in mind.

(Pause)

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to now call upon Yang Berusaha Dato Ng Jui Shia to deliver his
welcome speech.

And now ladies and gentlemen, we are at the highlight of this morning’s programme. In a few moments we
will witness the launch of the Times bookstore at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

As mentioned earlier, we are privileged to have with us today many of Malaysia’s top authors:

I would like to invite all authors who to come to the stage to sign on their respective books which are
highlighted here on our backdrop.

Daphne Lee who entertains local children with her books such as one Red Flower. Celebrity Chef, Chef
Wan who never fails to delight the nation with his popular recipes. We have XX award listed Tan Twan
Eng for his book, the Gift of Rain.
Amir Muhammad for his interesting insight into the political on-goings in Malaysia.
Lydia Teh for her insight into Malaysiana..
Lam Seng Fatt for his book on KL
Dr. Kurt Svrcula for his book on Layang Layang
 Florence Thomas on Yoga in life
Rehman Rashid for his A Malaysian Story
Dina Zaman for her look as child growing up muslim..
And finally me, Kam Raslan who recently published the book, Confessions of an old boy..

With great pleasure, Times is presenting the special edition of the Harry Potter book series, signed by the
Author of Harry Potter, JK Rowling.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this signifies the end of the launch for Times bookstore at Pavilion.
