Helping is a choice, not a responsibility.

Children are not obligated to help their parents after


graduating college or getting a job. Many children are being pressured by their parents. They dictating
their children what to do like telling them to have a good grade so that in the future they can get a high
paying job and help them. Children are somehow getting pressured because they are living on other’s
expectation because they don’t want their parents to be disappointed.

Helping is a choice, not a responsibility. Children are not obligated to help their parents, but the parents
are obligated to help their children. Many children are being pressured by their parents, by expecting
their children and depending on them by the time their children got a job. It became pressuring in a way
that they don’t want to feel displeasure from their parents. Additionally, others get pressured on their
parents in a way that their parents want them to have a job immediately after graduating college.
Especially the first child, it feels like they’re obligated to help their parents and becoming the
breadwinner of the family. It’s not a responsibility, thus, help their parents on their own will.

Helping is a choice, not a responsibility. Parents must support their children; children are not required to
assist their parents. Many children are under pressure from their parents, who anticipate and depend
on them when they obtain employment. They feel pressurized in a way that they don’t want to feel
displeasure from their parents. Others feels compelled by their parents to acquire a job as soon as they
graduate from college. The first kid, in particular, feels under pressure to support their parents and take
on the role as the Breadwinner of the family. According to one of the contestants in Showtime, she
needs to stop her college course just to work because there’s no one to support her siblings. It shows
that the parents depend on her and she gave up here dream just to help them. Helping their parents is
not a duty; they should do so of their own free desire.
