Starting the Machine

Main Power
1. Switch ON the Main power supply of the machine Fan Motor

2.Turn on the Main Switch on the Control Panel.

Work Instructions:
Control Panel

1. Check Work order Copy and check Previous Day Production Continuation or
New Temperature & Timing Setting.

2. Check the Size mentioned in the Work order during Incoming Inspection and
then set the Tempering Temperature and Soaking time as per Process Furnace Loading Tray
Specifications (DOC PD 29).

3. Handling the parts as per the Furnace Loading Parameters

chart (DOC PD 28).Stack the parts in the tray as per pictorial in
the DOC/PD/11(2)

4. After loading the parts in the tray, turn on the Main switch & Fan switch and
note the temperature delay time (max delay time 8hrs) & Initial temperature
and Time in the Process Monitoring Sheet
(FORM PD 14).
Loaded parts in the tray
5. After reaching the set temperature, note the reaching time and turn ON the

6. After Soaked, open the Furnace door using safety gloves and take out the
parts in the trolley for air cooling and note the air cooling starting time.

7. After air cooling, record the air cooling reaching a time in Process Monitoring
Sheet (FORM PD 14).

8. Take out from Furnace trolley for loading on T11-HT - CG tray and check
Surface hardness, Core hardness and Microstructure(if required) for Final test
frequency.

9. Sampling for the Surface hardness Inspection as per the standard IS 2500(Part-
1):2000/ISO 2859-1:1999:Level - 3 per furnace tray wise.

10. After unloading from furnace tray to HT-CG tray, proceed to next process
as per work order

11.Clean the machine at the end of the shift
