LEVEL OF DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AMONG UNIVERSITY OF

MINDANAO DIGOS COLLEGE STUDENTS

VARIABLE: awareness of disaster resilience

Introduction

This study requires the awareness of learners in coping with potential natural disaster
hazards. Although disaster risk reduction has been taught to the students, there is no
assurance that they have taken to heart the things they’ve learned. In our present
situation, we consistently experience natural and man-made hazards. We are in need of
most effective resiliency framework to the problem of disaster pliability and communities
need to be coped up with the international resiliency coping frameworks so that we
would be aware of what to do, as well as our school. Schools are responsible also for
sharing information and teaching as some of software plans and drills and orientations.
If this will be implemented throughout academe, then a drastic decrease of injuries and
casual case and rise of schools’ resiliency would occur.
