Answer: If I were to end the story of El in accordance with the aspirations of Rizal for the
Philippines, After Simoun revealing his entire story to Padre Florentino and leaving all his wealth to
him, until he die, I will use different character to continue his revenge, and rewrite that instead of
throwing Simoun’s treasures to the river, maybe Padre Florentino will keep it and used for
continuation of Simoun’s rebellion with the help of Basilio. They will both work in silence and
gradually they will finish all the superiority of Spanish and the story will ended up achieving the
independence of the Filipinos.
