ID-SIL LB

ID-SIL LB is a unique stabilized ester lubricant specially formulated for the ID-SIL systems. ID-SIL LB lubricant
effectively reduces torque, drag and the potential for differential sticking by reducing the coefficient of friction
(CoF) of the silicate mud. Its unique surfactant content effectively with the silicate for metal surfaces and
significantly reduces the CoF by as much as 30% after initial addition of ID-SIL LB lubricant at 3% v/v. ID-SIL LB
additive also shows no foaming, greasing and/or emulsion forming potential in high pH silicate environment.

Application

ID-SIL LB lubricant was specially formulated to decrease the CoF of silicate drilling systems. Normal
concentration of ID-SIL LB lubricant range from 2 to 4 v/v, depending on the mud density and desired
reduction in coefficient of friction. After the initial treatment, periodic treatments should be made to maintain
the desired concentration.

Treatment levels and product usage depend on the rate of penetration, solids-control equipment and dilution
rates. Higher concentrations may be used for pills and special applications. ID-SIL LB lubricant should be added
slowly, directly to the active mud system. Pilot testing is recommended to determine the required ID-SIL LB
additive treatment level and the effect on properties.

Packing and Storage

ID-SIL LB is packaged in 55 gal (208 ltr) drums.

Store in dry well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, spark and flames Store away
from incompatibles.
