Wool Needle (for sewing)
Abbreviations:

ch – chain
dc – double crochet
htr – half treble
tr – treble
inc – 2 stitches in next stitch
dec – decrease over next two stitches in front loops only
BLO – dc in back loops only picking up the extra loop at the back of the previous htr row to
create a firmer stitch
FP – in front posts from right to left
sl st – slip stitch
f/o – fasten off by slip stitch in next stitch

Note:

Unless stated work in continuous rounds marking last stitch of each row with a stitch
marker before proceeding with the next.

When stuffing parts make sure that you don’t overstuff them as you don’t want the stuffing
to show through when complete.
Each part should be filled just enough that it can be easily squeezed when pinched firmly.

Although the front post trebles might feel a bit awkward to start with, once you get the feel
for them, they are a very easy way to create a fold like flap and are not as technical as
they sound.
Just take them one step at a time.

Head:

Using either Pecan or Light Grey Mix

Row 1: ch 2, dc 6 in 2nd st from hook (alternatively dc 6 sts in magic ring) (6)
Row 2: inc x6 (12)
Row 3: (dc in next st, inc) x 6 (18)
Row 4: dc (18)
Row 5: FP row, sl st through fp of next 2 sts, flip work from below to above crochet hook,
then tr through 1st sl st, flip work back to original position, (sl st through fp of next dc, flip
as before, then tr through fp of previous tr and flip back) x 16, sl st into 1 st st of row 4 (18)
Row 6: dc (18)
Row 7: htr (18)
Row 8: BLO row, dc in next 6 sts, (inc) x6, dc in next 6 sts (24)
Row 9: dc (24)
Row 10: FP row, sl st through fp of next 2 sts, flip work from below to above crochet hook,
then tr through 1st sl st, flip work back to original position, (sl st through fp of next dc, flip
as before, then tr through fp of previous tr and flip back) x 22, sl st into 1 st st of row 9 (24)
Row 11: dc into row 9 (24)
Row 12: dc in next 9 sts, ch 4, htr in 2nd ch from hook, htr in next 2 sts, then sl st in side of

Row 13: dc in next 9 sts, flip ear down then dc in 6 sts between the ears, flip ear down
then dc in next 9 sts (24)

Row 15: (dc in next 2 sts, dec) x 6 (18)
Row 16: (dc in next st, dec) x 6 (12)
Stuff
Row 17: dec x 6 (6)

F/O leaving a 30cm end.

Using a running stitch gather opening and pull tight.

Sew closed.
Using the remaining wool thread it through body to middle of ears.
Do a couple of small stitches to secure and sew on keyring using small back sts.
Secure end and weave in through head before cutting flush.

Nose and Eyes:

Using Black
Row 1: ch 2, dc 2 in second st from hook (alternatively dc 2 st in magic ring) (2)

F/O leaving 30cm end.

Place the nose on the face so that the base of nose is 1 row above the starting circle of the
muzzle and so that the right side in facing inwards.
Using small back stitches sew to face and add a small post from the base through the
starting circle on the face.
Thread up through the head to just above the BLO line, 2 sts from the centre of face.
Using back stitches 2 sts in length, sew eyes 4 stitches apart and just above the muzzle
line.

Weave ends through head and cut
