ASTROCLUB

Eyes on the Sky

EVER WONDERED?

❑ ARE THERE MORE THAN ONE UNIVERSE AND COSMOSES?

❑ CAN THE MATTER REALLY BE DARK?
❑ IF THERE’S A DARK HOLE, WHY DON’T THE PLANETS FALL?
❑ IS THE BIG BANG THEORY ABOUT EXPLOSIONS OR RINGS OF
BELLS?
❑ WHY CAN A UNIVERSE BE PARALLEL AND NOT
PERPENDICULAR?
Why the ASTROCLUB?

❑ The club will not only nurture curiosity but also

enhance scientific knowledge, logic, reasoning,
critical and design thinking skills.
❑ The Astroclub aims to promote a deeper
understanding of astronomy and space sciences
among students by creating a platform for
learning, exploration, hands-on activities, and
social engagement.
OBJECTIVES

• To explore the vastness of the universe

• To encourage students to develop collaboration, research, and
presentation skills using scientific knowledge, logic, and
reasoning
• To provide a stepping stone to a career in Science or
Engineering
• To create cross-curricular links between STEAM disciplines
• To apply the learned skills in STEAM subjects to debunk the
myths surrounding the origin and existence of the universe.
• To decipher the phenomena of the universe, parallel universe,
multiverses, and heavenly bodies
STEAM: The Cross-Curricular MYTH?

EVER WONDERED ????

❑ How far are the planets from each other, from Earth?
❑ How to calculate the distance, mass, speed of light, and
gravitational pull/forces?
❑ Do you measure the distances manually or need technology for
scientific explorations and discoveries?
❑ What design will be perfect for your spacecraft?
❑ Do you need artistic sense or engineering knowledge for
constructing the space models?
❑ What science is involved in the creation of the universe and
heavenly bodies?
Proposed Activities:

❑ Observing celestial objects.

❑ Building a Telescope.
❑ Launching a Rocket.
❑ Creating scale models.
❑ Capturing starry constellations.
❑ Navigating through space documentaries.
❑ Designing a 3D model/design of MARS colonies.
❑ Designing a satellite.
Success Criteria:

❑ Construction of a telescope
❑ Exhibition of scale models and 3D models of
space colonies on MARS
❑ Presentation of satellite designs
❑ Photography competition of starry constellations
❑ Launching functional rockets
