What is?

Animal abuse is defined as an irrational behavior of a person towards an animal with the
aim of causing suffering, stress or even death.
Abandonment, neglect, and denial of access to food or health care are then considered as
part of animal abuse.
Causes
1. These types of people have acts of violence so normalized or feel the need because
of trauma to mistreat others.
(These three-go hand in hand or are related)
2. there are many people who do not raise awareness or were not sufficiently
informed about the consequences of animal abuse or the punishments that can
bring the abuser.
3. These are very common because the animal is a weaker being and cannot do much
to avoid it; they are constantly the victim and anger is unloaded on them.
4. It is very common to see that animals are used for the benefit of humans, even in
large and well-known industries, and in most cases, they clearly do not receive a
salary or even at least fair treatment.
Animal testing
Statistically, more than 100 million animals die from use in laboratories around the world,
and in cosmetics, 500,000 animals suffer and die each year in tests for this industry.
Rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, cats, dogs, and other animals are used to develop medical
treatments, determine the level of toxicity of drugs, determine the safety of products, and
other biomedical, commercial and medicinal uses. Research on living animals has been
practiced since at least 500 B.C.
Within the cosmetics industry, these practices have been carried out since the first quarter
of the 20th century, after a woman was blinded by using mascara. From this event, the
United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Federal Food, Drug, and
Cosmetic Act in 1938.
Animal Abuse in Nic
Even though in Nicaragua there has been a law for the protection and welfare of
domesticated animals and wild animals for several years, in practice no regulation or
sanction is carried out when cases of mistreatment occur, which in fact result quite
common.
This is a picture from a video was circulating on social networks and caused a stir due to
the brutal mistreatment of an animal that was dragged by a truck, driven by an unknown
subject. The vehicle had Managua license plates.
More than five dogs were found hanging from the trees in Jinotepe with signs of
mistreatment.
This puppy was found one morning in the José Dolores Estrada neighborhood in Managua.

In Mexico there have been many cases of adolescents who mistreat, abuse or torture and
kill animals and then upload it to social networks to which the authorities do not respond,
so citizens have tried to get justice into their own hands, which sometimes brings more
consequences.
Save Ralph.
Save Ralph footage exists thanks to Humane Society International (HSI). This organization
watches over the rights of all forms of life on Earth. HSI embraces the idea that human
beings cultivate compassion towards animals, as an innate quality of man regardless of
culture, economy, or political system.
