1. Choose ANY ONE of the group projects described and enumerated in the next
pages.
2. A group can have a maximum of 4 members (i.e., solo, pair, trio, or quad).
3. Group members can come from different levels or different sections of Math 5. It is
your responsibility to find group mates to work with if you are not willing to work solo.
4. The maximum number of points is 50.
5. The link for the peer evaluation part will be posted in our KHub course soon. It is your
responsibility to evaluate your group members.
6. This alternative assessment constitutes 25% of your final grade.
7. If you have additional clarifications, do not forget to consult me.

According to Merriam Dictionary, a manga is a comic book or graphic novel. The goal
of this project is to write a minimum of 2-page manga and a maximum of 10 pages

3. INFOGRAPHICS
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, an infographic (or information graphic) is
a visual representation of information or data. But to be more specific, an infographic
is a collection of imagery, charts, and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand
overview of a topic. (Nediger, 2020)

The goal of this project is to create ALL infographics about conic sections as listed
below:
1. Parabola
2. Ellipse
3. Circle
4. Hyperbola

4. MArTHwork
Art can communicate information, shape our everyday lives, make a social statement
and be enjoyed for aesthetic beauty.1

The goal of this project is to create a Math artwork that demonstrates the concept:
Conics in our world. Such artwork must be created using the curves and/or lines of the
conics which should be drawn in the Cartesian Coordinate System whose size is at
least 14x14 grid lines. The equations of all the conics that are used must be determined
and must be written in its standard form. The artwork must be composed of at least 10
conic figures. The artwork may be done manually or using a graphing software.

The artwork may also involve degenerate conics.
