portfolio included MIPI camera modules, GMSL cameras, USB 3.1 Gen 1
cameras, stereo cameras, and more.

HISTORY:

 2003 E-con Systems was founded as an engineering design services company


in 2003, with a focus on complete product design services.The company was
established in Chennai, India, with a four-member team, including co-founders
Ashok Babu, Harishankkar Subramanyam, and Maharajan Veerabahu.

 2008 - Expansion into the United States:

In 2008, E-con Systems expanded its operations into the United States and
established an office there, which became a wholly owned subsidiary of E-con
Systems India Private Limited.

 2010 - Technological Advancements and Growth:

E-con Systems launched the 2MP USB 2.0 E-CAM20_USB camera module,
marking its entry into the embedded vision camera product market. The
company also expanded its office facility to 9000 sqft and appointed a
European representative, initiating its operations in Germany.E-con Systems
reached a significant milestone by employing more than 100 employees.

 2012 - Continued Technological Innovation:

The company introduced the 5MP USB 2.0 E-CAM51A_USB, a camera module
that continued to be popular even after a decade, with over 150,000 units
shipped as of 2021. E-con Systems launched Capella, the world's first
standalone Stereo vision platform, marking the beginning of a decadE-long
research and development effort in stereo camera systems. They also
developed the UVC USB 3.0 IP stack.

 2013 - Partnership and Product Expansion:E-con Systems became partners


with Cypress and launched the Denebola kit. In 2014 -E-con Systems
redefined its direction, focusing exclusively on embedded vision camera
products while continuing to offer engineering services for integrating their
cameras into customer products.The office facility expanded to 25,000 sqft.

 2015 - Strengthening Technological Partnerships: E-con Systems developed a


close partnership with sensor maker onsemi (formerly Aptina), gaining
special access to ISP (Image Signal Processor).The company employed over
150 employees.

 2017 -E-con Systems became a preferred partner of NVIDIA and gained


exclusive camera ISP access to NVIDIA processors. The company launched
HEXCAM, a product featuring six cameras stitched together for 180-degree or
360-degree vision, targeted for autonomous sports broadcasting. They also
became a partner of Xilinx, with their See3CAM_CU30 included in Xilinx
Revision kits.

 2018 - Global Expansion: E-con Systems expanded its presence into Korea and
appointed Cythus as the distributor for embedded vision camera products in
Korea.The company's employee count crossed the 200 mark, reflecting its
continued growth.

 2019 E-con Systems set up technology labs for lens gluing and focusing,
enhancing its capabilities in camera development. The company achieved a
significant milestone by accomplishing 100 design wins, indicating that E-con
cameras were embedded in 100 unique customer products.

 2020 - An additional office was opened in Chennai, expanding operations in a


Special Economic Zone, bringing the total size of operations to 100,000 sqft.
E-con Systems appointed a full-time Field Application Engineer (FAE) for
Japan.

 2021 - E-con Systems became an NVIDIA Elite partner for Jetson, highlighting
their expertise in AI-related technologies. By this year, E-con Systems had
completed more than 250 design wins, with their cameras embedded in
various customer products.Ryoyo became an additional distributor for E-con
Systems' products in Japan.

 2022 - Expansion into TOF-based 3D Cameras: E-con Systems launched


TOF (TimE-of-Flight) based 3D Cameras designed to serve autonomous
mobile robots and robotic arms.
