a. Course Description
This is a continuation of the course Accounting research method. This is the second of two courses concerning conducting empirical research relevant to the diverse areas of Accounting. This course is intended to serve as an integrative
capstone to a professional Accounting degree program. It is designed to enable the learners to produce a thesis of general relevance to the professional practice of Accountancy. Research reporting includes developing and summarizing the
findings, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations. Also, as part of this course, learners will be exposed to the peculiar features and distinct format of thesis, dissertation and publishable research. Finally, in this course, the learners
are not only expected to pass the final oral defense of their undergraduate thesis but also equip themselves with the basic analytical techniques.

SPECIFIC GOALS FOR THE COURSE
a. Course Objective
The course aims to familiarize and instill in the students the concepts of accounting research, and to enable students to appreciate the ways in which the use of information by analysis and correlation contributes to the competitiveness of industries. It provides the students with an in-depth
working knowledge of research and be able to apply them in the various stages of the accounting process through activities designed to enhance learning. The course is essential for developing the students' ability to conduct quality research.

Module 1: CBE Manual on Research Writing; Chapter I: Problem and its Background; Chapter II: Review of Related Literature; and Chapter III: Research Methodology

MIDTERM PERIOD Module 3: Presentation of Data; Analysis of Data; and Interpretation of Data
