History taking and physical examination of ANC mother

History taking _it is the process of gathering subjective data from the patient or patient family for the health care team and the patient to
collaboratively create plans to promote health, address acute health problems and minimize chronic health conditions.

Physical examination - it is the process of evaluating objective anatomic findings through the use of observation, palpation, percussion and
auscultation.

Techniques for physical examination

1. Inspection _looking at the body
2. Palpation _feeling the body with fingers or hands
3. Percussion _producing sounds, usually by tapping of specific areas of the body.
4. Auscultation _listening to sounds usually with a stethoscope.
