 How to Use These Games

• Use these games with learners who can read and spell CVC words.
Each game gi ves them practice writing CVC words for a particular
short vowel.

• Be sure to name all the pictures with your learners before they play.

• Make sure each player has a recording sheet so that s/he can record
spellings and be accountable for his/her work. Demonstrate how to
use the recording sheet. Emphasi ze that learners will probably not
use all ten lines.
