My passion for professional growth in the field of Accounting have motivated me to pursue a

place at Victoria University of Wellington. I am particularly drawn to the university's reputation

for excellence and experiential learning in the School of Accounting and Commercial Law . The
university's commitment to fostering critical thinking, innovation, and global perspectives aligns
perfectly with my academic aspirations and future career goals. I firmly believe that studying at
Victoria University of Wellington will provide me with the necessary tools, knowledge, and
resources to excel in my chosen field and make a meaningful impact on society.
One of my academic goals is to further develop my Accounting skills and contribute to the
advancement of knowledge in my field. I am eager to engage in rigorous academic discourse,
collaborate with esteemed faculty members, and immerse myself in an environment that
promotes intellectual curiosity. Victoria University of Wellington's renowned School of
Accounting and Commercial Law offers an ideal platform for me to learn superior skills in
accounting analysis and apply knowledge to solve advanced accounting problems.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have actively sought out leadership positions and engaged
in various extracurricular activities within my school and community. Throughout my high
school years, I have served as the president of the student council, where I facilitated productive
discussions and implemented initiatives to enhance the student experience. In recognition of my
achievement, I was selected as one of the two representatives who would sit at staff meetings so
that students are incorporated in whatever initiative was brought. This role has honed my
leadership and communication skills, allowing me to effectively collaborate with diverse groups
and inspire positive change.

Besides my professional interests, I am a change maker in my home country where I am

currently facilitating girls’ clubs with 300 young women on financial literacy. I pioneered
Internal Savings and Lending Schemes (ISALS) in which I am accountable for managing loans
and savings which was usually used in entrepreneurship projects by the girls’ clubs. These
experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of social responsibility and empathy, shaping my
belief in the power of education to address societal challenges. I strongly believe that my
involvement in leadership positions and community service showcases my dedication to making
a positive impact on the world around me. I strive to be an agent of change, and I am confident
that the values and opportunities offered at Victoria University of Wellington will empower me
to achieve this goal.
