7.1 PURPOSE

Check the execution parameters and quality control of the entire process of the application of Coating - Tape -
DENSOLEN - AS50.

7.2 REFERENCE DOCUMENTS

PROCEDURE: PR - 4717.11 - 6521 -954-NEE-016

WORK INSTRUCTION: ITS 8.5.45

7.3 SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES

- The technical documentation of the PR - 4717.11 - 6521 -954-NEE-016 and ITS 8.5.45 work was analyzed for
compliance with the execution and quality control items in the application of the coating, where a checklist and a
checklist were prepared.

- Audit performed with the field inspector at KM 71 and qualification of coaters in the DENSOLEN Tape process -
AS50 according to flash report records.

- All necessary documentation was provided by the company NORTENG through representatives Cezar Melo and
Alexandre Freire.

- All displacement and logistics support of the work was promoted by the company TRACTEBEL through Messrs.
Sergio Costa and Anderson Amancio da Silva.

7.4 COMMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

- Absence of a pressure pliers adapted for adhesion test, thus allowing displacement of the coating strip by the
extremity in which the distance in millimetres was marked, allowing the execution of the test with accuracy.

- Absence of a calibrated contact thermometer for the substrate, thus meeting item 8.2 of procedure PR - 4717.11 -
6521 -954-NEE-016.

- Absence of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) at the chemical storage location, guiding the hazards and risks
existing in each chemical substance or mixture (as per photo 15)

- Use of laser pyrometer with emissivity set only for coated surface.

- Field sieve unsuitable for grit G-40 grit, used in the field.

- It is recommended to carry out a control of the G-40 shot used in the field, mixing the new one with the shot used
from the previous day, ensuring a standard of cleanliness and roughness within compliance.

- Recommended application of the DENSOLEN – AS50 tape with the DENSOMAT machine, due to the compliance
standard obtained. Using the Manual System only under conditions that make the Mechanical Delivery System
impossible.

- Adequacy in work instruction ITS.8.5.45, for use of the Sa 2 ½ standard in joints that are removed from the old
coating in the field, thus eliminating all old paint or coating, corrosion products, oils, greases, dust and other
contaminants such as item 8.3 of procedure PR - 4717.11 - 6521 -954-NEE-016.
