 - PATTERN-
NOTES

• This size of this shawl can be modified if need be, so no worries if you have slightly less than 800
yards.

• Another option is to use dk or worsted weight yarn held single. In such case, you’ll need only 400
yards.

PATTERN

We’re using fingering weight yarn, but holding
it double. So hold 2 strands together
throughout the project, forming a yarn
thickness close to DK weight yarn.
Ch 8. Join with a sl st in first ch to form a loop.
This is your original starting loop.
Row 1: Ch 5 (counts as first trc plus ch 1). 1 trc
in original starting loop, ch 1, 1 trc in original
starting loop, ch 3, 1 trc in original starting
loop, ch 1, 1 trc in original starting loop, ch 1, 1
trc in original starting loop. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as first trc). 2 trc in first trc.
1 trc in each trc until you reach the center ch 3
sp. (2 trc, ch 3, 2 trc) in ch 3 sp. 1 trc in each trc,
until you reach the final 2 trc. 2 trc in each of
final 2 trc. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 5 (counts as first trc plus ch 1). 1 trc
in first trc. Ch 1, *sk next trc, 1 trc in next trc. Ch
1. Repeat from * until you reach the center ch 3

Cut your tail and and weave it and the starting tail into the shawl to hide them, using your darning
needle. Block by wetting, pinning into shape and allowing to air dry. Enjoy!

I chose to cut lengths of yarn 28” long each.
Hold 2 together and apply as seen.
