2. CIVIL CODE FOR THE FREE AND SOVEREIGN STATE OF BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR.
The Civil Code is a State norm, it was published on July 19, 1996 and was last amended on May 20, 2023, it
serves and is useful for all the inhabitants of Baja California Sur, who have the obligation to exercise their
activities and use and dispose of their assets in a way that does not harm the community under the sanctions
established therein and has 2,979 articles and 38 transitory ones.
4. PENAL CODE FOR THE FREE AND SOVEREIGN STATE OF BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR.
The Criminal Code is a State norm which was published on November 30, 2014 and amended on July 21, 2023,
this is a code that applies to the entire Mexican Republic for crimes of Federal order. In this code are the general
rules on crimes and criminal responsibility, penalties, security measures and rules on the application of penal
sanctions, this code has 400 articles and 25 transitory ones.
9. COMMERCE CODE.
This Code was born on April 20, 1884 and lasted until December 13, 1889, but it began its validity on January
1, 1890 and was reformed for the last time on March 28, 2018, this Code consists of a set of norms and precepts
that regulate commercial relations, its objective is justice and regulate human behavior which is sought to be
linked to the fact of trade, likewise this code has 1500 articles and 64 transitory ones.
