The following communities have been selected for your Brugia Impact Survey. The targeted sample size of 1020 will be reached by sampling
from the 30 clusters listed below. Column E contains the average number of adults who should be sampled per community and Column F
contains the sampling interval used to select the households. All adults (18+) should be included in the selected households.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. As column F suggests, each community will have a different sampling interval. To see the lists corresponding to the households that should be
selected from each community click "View Sampling Lists."
2. After you have completed data collection by testing the selected households (see "View Sampling Lists" to learn which households are selected) from
each of the communities listed below, refer to the decision rules in cell B15 below for guidance on whether the EU has passed the mini-TAS.
3. Special Cases: If one or more of your selected communities had a target population that was larger than the overall sampling interval (cell F11) then it
constitutes a "certainty community" and was sub-divided into smaller units, such that each resulting unit has a target population < sampling interval.
Certainty communities require a couple of extra steps to sample correctly. To see how to handle certainty communities click "Special Case Instructions."
Similarly, if one or more of your selected communities had a target population that was very small, it was automatically merged with the next community
listed on the sampling frame (denoted by a dark bold border) and these two communities should together constitute a single cluster. To learn more about
how to sample these special clusters click "Special Case Instructions".
