The impact of climate change on the environment, society, and economy

makes it one of the most important global challenges of our day. By using fossil
fuels, humanity is really releasing high-temperature gases into the atmosphere,
which is why the planet is warming up. These substances are known as
greenhouse gases. Stronger storms and the Melting of Ice, are just two of the
changes the globe is seeing as a result of rising temperatures. The air, water, and
land on Earth are all connected to the climate, which is why their changes are
taking place.

There were a lot of causes why climate change occurs, one of that is the
conducting of open pit mining. Since open-pit mining, also known as opencast
mining, is a surface mining technique that extracts minerals from an open pit in
the ground. Open-pit mining is the most common method used throughout the
world for mineral mining and does not require extractive methods or tunnels.
Therefore, Open-pit mining remains unsustainable in almost all areas. It
consumes large amounts of water, destroys the
biophysical environment permanently, disfigures landscapes, and releases toxic
chemicals into the atmosphere. The operations often leave large environmental
impacts on the local surroundings as well as having wider implications for the
environmental health of the planet. I Finally believe that open-pit mining should
not be legalized because it can affect the livelihood of the farmers. It will
destroy the soil that they were planting. Farmers are very important because
without them we can’t be able to eat healthy and nutritious fruits and
vegetables. Thus, conducting open-pit mining would lead us to climate change.

We must cooperate with each other to avoid climate change in our country. We
must segregate our garbage, don’t burn plastics but let’s recycle them. We also
need to plant some trees and vegetables for us to have a healthy society. “We
are all living together on a single planet, which is threatened by our own
actions. And if you don’t have some kind of global cooperation, nationalism is
just not on the right level to tackle the problems, whether it’s climate change or
whether it’s technological disruption.” – Yuval Noah Harari
