SWOT ANALYSIS

Strength

The strength of El Nido Palawan lies in its remarkable ability to recover from
destruction and destruction-related disasters. With effective and innovative
strategies, the local government and its people have been able to restore its
natural resources, which make it a great candidate for rehabilitation. In
response to this, a rehabilitation and conservation project has been launched
with the goal of protecting El Nido Palawan's environment. With the recent
implementation of stricter regulations on industrial activities and tourist-centric
infrastructure, the proposal has already begun to show its effectiveness.
As a result of the influx of visitors over the years, the local environment has
been strained, leading to a need for rehabilitation. Thankfully, numerous
organizations, both local and international, have stepped forward to help protect
El Nido’s natural wonders. The organizations have developed various plans
and strategies to help restore the beauty and strength of El Nido, Palawan, and
have had some significant successes.

Weakness

Overcrowding is one of the weakness of El Nido Palawan. We all know that El Nido is such a beautiful
and stunning place here in the Philippines and every year many tourists are proud to visit and enjoy the
fun and interesting activities in El Nido Palawan. But, overcrowding become one of the weakness with
that tourists are limited in the place and tourists must book earlier before they come because 15 people
are maximum per day. In this case, since tourists are limited the economy of El Nido Palawan surely
decrease because of this factor and impact of overcrowding.

Opportunity

Since the rehabilitation was implemented in El Nido. It will attract and cater more and more tourists
each day to help El Nido raise and improve the place. Not
only is it an attractive destination
for travelers, but also for entrepreneurs and investors who are looking to
capitalize on its potential. The Philippine government has been working hard to
develop El Nido as a sustainable tourist destination, including providing
infrastructure, creating laws to protect the environment, and providing
educational opportunities. It also offers a diverse range of activities in its natural
environment, including kayaking and snorkeling. In recent years, the local
government has taken steps to rehabilitate and protect the environment of El
Nido, as well as create a stable and vibrant economy. This rehabilitation has
opened up new opportunities for tourism, including eco-tourism, and provides
an opportunity to increase awareness of the importance of resource
conservation.

Threats

Without this investment, El Nido Palawan could face a host of threats, including
deforestation, ocean pollution, and the erosion of its rich culture. If these threats
are left unchecked, the biodiversity and beauty of the area will be lost. Also
Without this effort, El Nido Palawan would be put at risk for devastating
environmental and economic consequences, such as erosion, habitat loss, and
a decrease in tourism. In order to preserve the beauty of El Nido Palawan, it is
essential to prioritize conservation efforts. Lacking of conservation and
rehabilitation efforts, the local community would face an uncertain future as the
marine environment, which is integral to the local economy, would suffer.
Conservation and rehabilitation projects are a necessary step to ensure the
long-term resilience of El Nido Palawan’s environment and community.
