NOTE: ALL READINGS MUST BE TAKEN USING CALIBRATED TEST EQUIPMENT.

Instructions: Complete each of the following steps in order, checking the Unit Serial #
boxes and entering data as appropriate.

PRE-POWER CHECKS
14 Record the battery information, including open-cell voltage reading
1 Verify the unit is installed with the proper service clearances as outlined in

3 With a multimeter, check that no power is going into the UPS. If power is
present (IN, OUT or DC), remove power and re-check. Complete: X

Check that no voltage is present at the battery power connections.

5 Check the UPS and batteries for external damage. Remove all accessible
sheet metal barriers from the UPS and batteries. 15 Check the front and back of the UPS (and battery cabinet(s), if applicable)

34 Transfer the unit to bypass by pressing the Inverter Off pushbutton.

35 Press the Inverter On pushbutton to place the unit back online.

36 Press the local EPO button and verify the Battery Breaker(s) trip.
Verify with a digital voltmeter that no power is present at the Output.

37 Restart the unit by pressing the Fault Clear button. Once the rectifier is online
and the load is on Static Bypass. Complete: X

38 Verify that the UPS is in bypass. Press the Inverter Off pushbutton if the unit is
online. Complete: X

39 Close Maintenance Bypass Breaker (MBB). Verify with a digital voltmeter that
power is present to the customer's load. Complete: X

40 Transfer from Maintenance bypass to static switch bypass by opening the


Maintenance Bypass Breaker. The system is now on internal bypass.

41 Transfer from internal maintenance bypass to normal operation by pressing


inverter on push button. After 1 minute verify Inverter LED is solid green.

OPERATIONAL CHECKS (CONT'D) POST-STARTUP

holes or gaps are present inside the UPS cabinet that could interfere with

filled, and gaps between the access panels and the frame).
