FADE IN:

EXT. NARROW SIDE STREET IN TOKYO – (DAWN)

We see the side street between two colourful blocks of

buildings in Tokyo. The buildings are a variety of bright
colours, and the road is dark grey. There is litter scattered
around the area. Although it is dawn, the lighting in the area
is fairly dark, due to the shadows caused by the tall
buildings blocking out the sun. We see a crowd of about 20
people, all wearing coats and jackets just going about their
day.

In the crowd, we see a girl, JENNY, 30, walking quickly with

her hands in her pockets. She has a black hoodie and khakis
on, and leather boots. Her hair is bent out of shape at the
roots, and she looks like she is in a rush.

The camera pans out, and from a distance, we see Jacob, a

young man with a green shirt and sky-blue jeans notice Jenny.
He stares at her for a good moment before she disappears
around the corner. Through Jacob’s eyes, we see her walking in
slow motion to suggest that he is taking in every moment of
seeing her, with bright lighting and dreamy music.

INT. CAFÉ IN TOKYO – (DAY)

We cut to Jacob at a café the next day, sitting opposite Kyle,

a man slightly older than him, who is having a drink.

JACOB: Yesterday on the street I passed the 100% girl

KYLE: Yeah, (he takes a sip) good looking?

JACOB: Not really

KYLE: Your favourite type, then?

JACOB: I don’t know, I can’t seem to remember anything about

her

KYLE: (takes another sip) Strange

JACOB: (nods) Yeah, strange

KYLE: (takes a quick look at his phone) So anyhow, (he puts
the phone in his pocket) what did you do? Talk to her? Follow
her?

JACOB: (shakes his head) Nah. Just passed her on the street
(takes a drink of his coke)
