BRIDGE MATH SPEECH

Distinguished guest, UPOU organization, my fellow Online Bridge Participants, online

viewers, ladies, and gentlemen a pleasant Morning to all of us.

Today, I stand before you to share the highlights of my Bridge Program experience in
mathematics, the invaluable learnings, takeaways I gained, and my plans following the completion
of this transformative course.

Embarking on the Bridge Math program has been a journey of growth and discovery. It has
allowed me to bridge the gaps in my mathematical knowledge, strengthen my foundational
understanding, and prepare myself for the challenges that lie ahead. Throughout this program, I
have had the privilege of engaging with dedicated instructors and collaborating with them,
fostering an environment of collective growth and support.

One of the highlights of my Bridge Program experience has been the emphasis on problem-
solving. I've discovered that mathematics is more than just finding solutions, it is also about the
process of dissecting challenging issues, exercising critical thinking, and coming up with
innovative process and solutions. Through challenging problem sets and engaging discussions, I
have honed my problem-solving skills, developing the ability to analyze complex situations, think
logically, and approach challenges with confidence.

Moreover, the Bridge Math program has nurtured my mathematical reasoning and
encouraged me to see connections between different mathematical concepts. It has enabled me
to think beyond the surface level and explore the underlying principles that govern various
branches of mathematics. From fun and interactive synchronous sessions, I was able to
comprehend the topics very well and develop my stronger sense of self-assurance in math skills
and approach problem-solving tasks with greater confidence. Through asynchronous session, it
provides access to a wide range of resources, including textbooks, online platforms, and math
materials. These resources open an opportunity to explore mathematical topics in depth and
further our understanding beyond what is covered in standard classrooms. Exploring these higher-
level concepts can broaden our mathematical horizons and ignite a deeper appreciation for the
beauty and intricacy of mathematics.

Additionally, the program has given me a sense of persistence and tenacity. As I struggled
with challenging ideas and experienced frustrating moments, I realized how important it is to view
obstacles as chances for progress. I learned that persistence mixed with a growth mentality may
result in extraordinary accomplishments due to the consistent support of my lecturers and the
collaborative atmosphere of the program.

My time in the Bridge Math program has been nothing short of transformative. I've been
able to fill in any gaps in my mathematical knowledge, gain valuable problem-solving abilities, and
fuel my desire for lifelong learning thanks to it. I am incredibly appreciative of the chances and
experiences that this program has given me, and I can't wait to continue my mathematical
adventure with renewed confidence and enthusiasm.
