5. Check for signs of burns on all electrical switchgear caused by Electrician


loose connections and rectify.
6. Check transformer oil level and silica gel and replace if Electrician
necessary.
7. On completion clean up area and sign off (where applicable) Electrician
work permit. Place all oily waste cotton in a hazardous bin or
oil trays to capture dripping oil.

G. PROHIBITIONS

1. Do not open solid links on load. Electrician

2. Do not bridge fuses Electrician


3. Do not allow any unauthorized person to enter in the working Electrician
place.
4. Do not work on electrical circuit during heavy lightning storm Electrician
5. Do not wear metal key chain or metal keepers for key rings or Electrician
watch rings outside the clothing during work. We should
always, take extra precaution while work in extra damp area.
H. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Enough clearance from energized parts should be provided to avoid Team
accidental contact with them. If that can’t be met, live parts should leader/Operator
be guarded or enclosed.

There should be sufficient illumination for personnel to clearly see


their surroundings and perform any work safely.

Evacuation routes should be free from obstructions.

All substation metallic structures, fences, and equipment tanks


should be grounded.

Electrical apparatus found to be in a dangerous condition or not


working properly must be removed from service immediately.

All electrical equipments, bays, circuits, should be identified by


properly viewable labels to avoid any mistake

Do not toss the tools or working materials to other person. It is


better to deliver the tools and materials hand to hand.
