Introduc on
- Picasa is a cross-pla orm image organizer and image viewer for organizing and edi ng digital
photos, integrated with a now defunct photo-sharing website (Picasa Web Albums), originally
2002.
- “Picasa” is a blend of the name of Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, the phrase “mi casa”
(Spanish for "my house") and "pic" for pictures.
- The applica on is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and macOS.
Events
- In October 15, 2002, Picasa was released by Lifescape Solu ons, Inc.
- In July 2004, Google acquired Picasa from Lifescape and began o ering it as freeware.
- On February 12, 2016, Google announced that the Picasa desktop applica on would be
discon nued on March 15, 2016.
- Google stated that the primary reason for re ring Picasa was that it wanted to focus its
e orts "en rely on a single photos service" the cross-pla orm, web-based Google Photos.

Because Picasa is not available anymore, we will use its replacement google photos.
Step 2: Search for pictures about the things you like (at least 5 pictures) and upload it on google
photos.
Step 4: Select the photos you upload and press the create bo om on the upper right corner.
