RECAP SCRIPT FOR ‘FTL’ BY DUST

The movie starts off in the midst of space where the retired commander
Ethan Kane is approached with an offer that completely changes his
perception of distance and speed. NASA assigns him the task of testing
the breakthrough faster-than-light spacecraft "The Longshot." This film
follows his journey where he is provided with an extraordinary
opportunity to become the first ever man to travel faster than light.
In a moment of flashback he remembers his family. Kane has retired
from the exciting life of an astronaut to spend more time with his wife
and small boy. As he settled into a more peaceful life, he had no idea
that one more mission would arrive at his door.
Being a dedicated pilot, he gets ready to embark on this risky yet
memorable journey of "The Longshot" with resolve in his eyes. This
spacecraft has the ability to break down the limits of conventional space
flight, stretching the horizons of human exploration. It was ready to be
the first ever FTL propulsion system.
After making all the final checks and tests the propulsion is done and in
a matter of seconds, Kane finds himself into the Mars orbit. The
propulsion is successful and he becomes the first man to travel faster
than light. The satellite is launched onto the Mars orbit and connection is
made for real time communication between the Earth and Mars.
Now the time for return sequence comes and the FTL drive is to be set.
When Ethan initiates the FTL drive, he finds himself racing across space
at unthinkable speeds. The journey takes an unexpected turn as he
goes farther and faster than he ever imagined possible.
Kane finds himself been pulled into a new vector where he is isolated
and lost. The connection with the board room is broken.
He is alone in the immense expanse of the cosmos, confronted by
isolation and his own thoughts. He remembers his wife and son and gets
emotional as he would not be able to see them again.
In a stunning twist, while we see the entrance of a new vector the aliens
from this realm vanish him for a little while, leaving us and Kane in
amazement of what just happened. Kane is disappeared in bits. The
crew and media announces that Kane and Longshot have disappeared
and there is absolutely no sign of him. His family breaks down on
knowing that they lost him forever.
At the gripping climax scene, the story comes to an unexpected
conclusion. After entering Kane’s realm, the aliens arrive at his door and
return him to Earth.
Their deeds arouse awe and call into question the limits of existence.
Through Ethan's journey, we witness the convergence of the known and
the unexplored. The ends depicts how aliens responded to a distress call
and returned the alien (Kane for them) back to the Earth.
This Film raises questions about human curiosity, the unknown world,
and reality's convergence. We see the meeting of the known and the
unknown through Ethan's adventure and how cosmic exploration can
lead to more and more questions.
