Recently developed CAx Automation Tool (Web Based) for DIEHL Aviation Cabins (for customer: Airbus and Boeing) which mainly
includes:
1. Automatic reading the input document from customer and make the 3D detailed design automatically.
2. Maintain each and every small detail within PLM and CAD and organizational rules and creating Master-Models.
3. Automatically check and correct (if required) the quality of 3D Data and create 2D Drawings.
4. Automatic data delivery in Customer database & PLM.

In past developed complete Automatic Engineering Tool (CAD CAM CAE and PLM) for Airbus Beluga-XL Aircraft (Structure Design,
Stress Calculation and NC Machining till vaulting into VPM). Making 100% parametric and highly intelligent design templates
(KBE, KBA and PKT) for Primary and secondary structures of Aircraft. These templates are initiating by framework and generating
the whole DMU. Customized output to ISSY and reactions back to CATIA for part modification and at last NC Programming of the
parts. Main focus on Parametric Knowledge based engineering, Design Tables for Primary and Secondary Structure Design of
Aircraft. Creating automatic tool to design, optimize the aircraft primary structure, which includes:
• CAD CAM CAE PLM Architecture Designer with Automation and interconnectivity with efficient communication during
Engineering Changes, creating master development / packaging, defining master template modeling structures.
• CAA for CatiaV5, NX OPEN for NX.

Role Fully Responsible for CAx creation and Level3 Support afterwards for Aircabin Components

Project Description
The above tool was scripted for followings:
1. To standardize the complete engineering process
of Aircabin Products like Stowage, Partition,
doghouse, Curtains.
2. Highly intelligent 3D Assembly Master Model
capable to generate all possible configurations
and integration to PLM.
3. The Tool analyze the Customer Input document
(MoVie) and generate the 3D Model
Automatically with efficient reporting and
tracing. As shown in figure.
4. Automatic Output Delivery to customer after
peak hours with confirm emails and messages. It
also includes quality Reports, Data Transfer
Sheets and Logs.

Contribution
 Exponential increase in the productivity by
reducing the workload and achieve FTR.

 80-90% of the project was completely automated.

Project Name: Automatic Catia V4 to Catia V5 migration tool including Prop tool for wiring harness design.
Role Fully Responsible
Organization Airbus-India.

Project Description
The above tool was scripted for following steps:
1. Get the position of all the parts in V4 and put in excel.
2. Make a standard Catia structure and call the parts from standard library as per their properties under different products.
3. Position them as per their position in Catia v4.
4. Extracted prop xml files from Catia v4 will get integrated in Catia v5.
5. Designer can route the wires as per output from prop files.

Contribution
 This increases the productivity of the designer by reducing the working time with no error.
 60 % of the project was automated.
 Project delivered earlier with 100% quality.

One interface was created in VB6 to clean CATPart, CATProduct and CATDrawing files.

Project Name : Run Quality-Checker and Export into external formats for Catia V5
Drawings.

Project Description
This tool was scripted to make for a bunch of drawings. It do the quality check and then save it and also
convert the drawing in external format for initial review of customer such as ‘*.pdf’, ‘*.dxf’ etc.

As a tool developer, was responsible for
 Check quality of bunch of drawings.
 Save the quality checked drawings.
 Convert in external format simultaneously.
 No drawing should be missing.
 Can be run in batch mode.
 Note: It can save up to 2 to 3 hours, if you execute it on 100 drawings.

Project Name : Create point cloud data from excel and interchange coordinates.

Project Description
This tool was created for whole point cloud data of aircraft to get into Catia from excel files. Just with one whole
cloud data to formed into Catia. In future if co-ordinates of the points to be interchanged, it is possible.
Contribution
As a tool developer, was responsible for
• With one click excel data get into Catia V5 as point cloud.
• Error free scripting, automatic curve generation, Interchanging of infinite number of points is possible.
• Note: It saved 75% of the project time to be executed, if do manually.

Project 3: Creation and Modification of Aft Lower Shell Structural parts of A350.
Duration: July-2011 to December-2011.
Software used: Ennovia-VPM, CATIA V5 (Part, Assembly, Composite, Knowledgeware and Drawing), PDM-SSCI, CADInt.
Description: Creation of Design Principles and modeling of equipped brackets (metallic and composite) & drawings according to
latest Airbus Standards.
Responsibilities:
 Composite and Metallic Structure - Design Engineer
 Responsible for making design principles, 3D parts and drawings
 Execution and check of design deliverables
 Composite parts detailing and checking
 Meeting deadlines, allocations and objectives for the design
 Updating parts, assemblies & drawing to the latest Airbus Standards
 Creation/Updating of BOM & ECN using Windchill Primes
 Performing QC’s
 Preparation of work instruction & Checklist.
Contribution:
 Creation/Modification of parts & drawing as per the client requirement
 Involved in creation of BOM & ECN
 Solving technical issues to get the smooth flow in the work

Project 4: Making Electrical Harness installation Drawings of cleats assembly for A400M.
Duration: February-2011 to July-2011.
Software used: CATIA V5 (Assembly and Drawing), PDM SSCI and DMU.
Responsibilities:
 Create the cleat assembly drawings as per standards
 Making Annotations in DMU Navigator
 Making BOM
 Quality Check as per the standards
Integrating deliverables in PLM.

Project 5: Automatic Catia V4 to Catia V5 migration tool including Prop tool for wiring harness design.
Duration: July-2011.
CAD Environment: CATIA V5 R18 (Input-CatiaV4, Cads5)
Responsibilities:
Made a tool which do the following steps:
 Get the position of all the parts in V4 and put in excel.
 Make a standard Catia structure and call the parts from standard library as per their properties under different products.
 Position them as per their position in Catia v4.
 Extracted prop xml files from Catia v4 will get integrated in Catia v5.
 Designer can route the wires as per output from prop files.
Contribution:
 This increases the productivity of the designer by reducing the working time with no error.
 60 % of the project was automated.

Project 6: Aircraft Structure Design and making Valve Drawings for HBC.
Duration: September-2010 to January 2011.
Software used: CATIA V5 (Parts, Assembly and Drawing
Responsibilities:
 Create the 3D models of primary and secondary structures in Catia V5
 Making part and assembly drawings and BOM
 Making Certification drawings for valves.
Quality Check as per the standards*

Project 7: Aircraft Cabin Interior Design (Galleys, Partitions and Doghouse) for A380.
Duration: Jan-2010 to September 2010.
Software used: CATIA V5, V4, Windchill (Parts, Assembly and Drawing, CAA, Knowledgeware)
Responsibilities:
 Create the SAM models and concept models in Catia V5
 Making part and assembly drawings and BOM
 Integration deliverables into Windchill.
Quality Check as per the standards

Project 8: Installation of fasteners and drawing creation of bracket installation to support Wiring Harness on
primary and secondary structures of A380.
Duration: September-2008 to December 2009.
Software used: CATIA V4 (Assembly and Drawing), ZAMIZ and TAKSY.
Responsibilities:
 Create the 3D models of fasteners of brackets with primary and secondary structures in Catia V4 (CPP files)
 Making assembly drawings for the installation of brackets in A380
 Making BOM
 Quality Check as per the standards

Project 9: BIW Parts Design and Fixture Design for Elements.


Duration: September-2007 to August 2008.
Software used: CATIA V4 and V5
Responsibilities:
 Benchmarking the existing Catia V4 models.
 Extracting the Weld Reports and Envelopes with point cloud data.
 Reverse Engineering in CatiaV5 by using point cloud and weld points, generating Surface and then 3D Parts and
Assemblies.
 Quality Check, Gap, Flushness, Manufacturability and one to one matching as per customer requirements.
 Making Part, Assembly drawings.
 Making BOM
 Final Quality Check as per the standards before delivery.
