 Tenure in an employee’s current grade is only a pre-requisite that has to be met before the employee can be
nominated for a promotion. For promotion to Grade 5 & above, employee will have to go through the screening
process by the Promotion Board. For promotion to Grade 6 & above, key focus would be on, if the candidate
possesses leadership skills to inspire a team and also identify and train few juniors who could take his/her role.
Then comes the performance and other factors which include but are not limited to: sharing skills and knowledge,
volunteeringto conduct training sessions, establishing succession plans, interviewing job candidates, attending
ICAN classes, mentoring junior resources, sharing lessons learnt during important assignments with other
resources in a formal manner, etc.

 Categories of Grades (A, B, C & D) are solely for the knowledge of the concerned employee, HCD & Finance
department. It is strictly prohibited to share/disclose this information to anyone. In case of leak of information, the
employee responsible will be penalized with a PKR. 250,000/- fine at Grade 8 and PKR. 50,000/- fine at Grade 5
