Relationship between assessment and approach

(TPR)
Total Physical Response is a method of teaching language or vocabulary concepts by using physical
movements, where teacher can use facial expressions, gestures, body movements and materials
like pictures or props to illustrate the meaning of the words. For each activity we plan to be a guide
so that the student can express himself by using responsive actions.
In the first activity we propose through the game “simon says” a different way to identify the body
parts, in this case through body movements teacher encourages the student to participates and
relates the vocabulary with the actions.
In the following activities numbers and colors, we propose that student has to cut the numbers in
order to remembers and identifies them. Then, teacher point the color and the student has to
paint the correct number with its color, in order for the student to connect the color with the
number that he has cut
In the animals activity teacher reads riddles using mimic and facial expressions in order to help the
student to understand and find the correct animal, as well as on the board he will find pictures of
animals, which will further help him to relate the riddles to the animals.
In the last activity we use the Baby Shark Song in order that student can participates in group
dynamics and follow instructions, as well as remember the family members, then student has to
use his creativity to draw his family, identifying vocabulary about this topic.
