    Soldering iron - used to attach metal parts by melting a solder

    Desoldering tool - used to remove solder

    Long nose pliers - used to hold wires and reach tight spaces

    Side cutter - used to cut wires

    Wire stripper - used to remove insulation of wires

    Portable Electric Drill - used to bore holes in metal or plastic chassis

    Utility knife - used to cut wires and their insulation

    Hacksaw - used to cut through metals

    Magnifying glass - used to magnify objects

    Paint brush - used to clean dirty parts of circuits

    Multimeter - measures ac and dc voltage, resistance, and small amount of dc


    current.

    Oscilloscope - shows graphs of signal voltages

    Signal generator - produces simple wave forms
