Model ZLA-30 Thermo-Vacuum Type Transformer oil Treatment Machine

1. General
This equipment ZLA is one movable Stationary and Frame type machine to be mounted on
skid base with lifting lugs, mainly for increasing and maintain electrical insulating oil’s BDV
(breakdown voltage) such as transformer oil, circuit breaker oil, tap changer oil, hydraulic oil,
turbine oil, etc. And To degasify to remove out moisture, free water, and soluble water, gas
and filtering particles, residuals, etc. As well as drying the electrical equipments such as
transformer and vacuum filling on the line, It is designed and manufactured for indoor and
outdoor operation in the field.

2. Scope of Supply
The scope of supply under this specification shall include: The design, fabrication & factory
testing of a transformer oil Purifier. All components shall be mounted on a common base and
be supplied as a complete unit ready for operation when received by the purchaser.
2.1 To serve as a designated oil filtration equipment in support of installation, maintenance
and overhaul of power transformer.
2.2 To be used for purifying non-conformable mineral insulating oil, FR3 Dielectric oils,
transformer oil, cable oil, tap-changer oil, mutual inductor oil and breaker oil for power
supply industry and manufacturing enterprises. Also for hydraulic oil, turbine oil, etc.
2.3 For dehydration and degasification to remove out free and soluble water, moisture, gas,
etc.
2.4 To remove out solid particles, residuals, impurities in the oil.
2.5 The standard system is designed for processing oils in workshops, in storage tanks, in
the field, etc.

3. Performance
Performance by treatment trough the machine at a full flow rate shall be as follows:
3.1-Dielectric strength from below 20KV to be more than 65KV.
3.2-Dehydration the water content From over 50 PPM down to below 5PPM.
3.3-Degassing the air content to be below 0.01%.
3.4-Filtration 99% of solid particles 3 micron shall be removed.

4. Process Description
transformer oil enters the machine through the Inlet Strainer, and is transferred by a
metering type Inlet Oil Pump to the Electric Heater. Oil heated to the desired temperature,
usually 55±10 deg. C then enters in the Vacuum Processing Chamber.
The highly porous Coalesces shear the oil and expose it to the effect of vacuum. At the same
time they accelerate the separation of gases and water vapour from the oil. These are
removed by the Vacuum Pump and are discharged to the atmosphere.
De-gasified and dehydrated oil is pumped out by the oil Pump capable of with 1800L/Hour

The Fine Filter will remove solid particles before the oil is discharged from the Degasifying
chamber.
An accurate and automatic Level Control, Pressurization Valve (adjustable type), Safety
Relief Valve and Recirculation System are all included to ensure simple and reliable
operation.
Condensed water vapour will be collected in a transparent container below the condenser. A
three-way valve can be operated to drain collected condensate as required.
