3. Determine the mass in grams

a. 5 moles potassium nitrate = 505.56 g

b. 2.5 moles hydrochloric acid = 91.15 g

4. Calculate the percent composition of the ff. compounds

a. Aluminum chlorate

Aluminum = 20. 235%

Chlorine = 79.765%

b. Sodium aluminate

Sodium= 28.047%
Aluminum= 32.916%

Oxygen = 39.037%

5. A compound contains 53.7% iron and 46.27% sulfur.

= Iron Sulfide – Fe2Se3

6. Determine the molecular formula of Carbon = 80% and Hydrogen = 20% and molecular weight is 30
grams.
