CARROM RULES

Winner of a game would be the first player to pocket his/her carrom pieces and the queen Toss will be put to start the game. Upto the finals, 1 board (finishes) will be played. The Finals will be a best of 3 boards. (Mens single & Mens doubles only). The Womens Singles, Womens Doubles & Mixed Doubles will be all 1 board finishes. Thumb game will not be allowed. Arrow coins can be played in singles game only. In doubles game, arrow coins should not be touched by 1st strike. Opponent coin cannot be played separately, 1 foul will be given. If the opponent coin is hit by mistake with the 1st touch, 1 penalty (Due) will be given and the disturbed coin will be repositioned. Opponent coin can be played with frame support. Coins which are in/or touching the red ring should not be played. If you put a coin along with striker, two coins will be placed and you will be given a chance. If Striker goes to the pocket, 1 penalty (coin) will be given, which can be placed anywhere inside the center circle of the board. If you put RED/Queen along with the striker, RED should be replaced and you'll loose your turn. If you put RED and your coin in one shot, RED & follow are valid. The RED shall be placed by the game coordinator only in the Center Circle. While placing so, however, if shot is automatically formed, it cannot be altered. If the Center Circle is partially or completely covered by other coin, the RED shall be placed so as to occupy most of the uncovered portion or in any position adjacent to the Center Circle in such a way so that it is not easy to pocket for the player having his turn. The placing of the RED by the Umpire, in such a situation, shall be final. If you put follow for RED along with striker, two coins will be placed and you will be given a chance to put another follow, if 2nd follow coin not put RED will be replaced at the center. If the RED is pocketed before any coin of the player is pocketed, the Queen shall be taken out for placing and the player shall lose his turn. If you shoot an opponent coin directly to the pocket, no foul will be given but you'll loose the turn. If a coin stands up on its rim, it shall be allowed to remain as it is. In case towards the end of the game there is a RED/Queen and 1 coin each of White & Black, the player can choose to play either the RED or his own color coin. If he touches opponent coin directly, 1 foul will be given. The decision of the game coordinators and referees is final.
