CHAPTER 1
Life in senior high school is challenging to adjust to. Senior High School studies a
different skill set for individuals transitioning from Senior High School in addition to new social
problems. When a student enters senior high school, concentration while studying is one of the
most difficult abilities to achieve. One of the issues that students frequently encounter as a

effective study techniques since it takes a combination of effort and the proper mindset. Since
thinking indicates learning gain by that you can transform yourself into something better,
thinking is a crucial part of the learning process. The character develops as a result, and become
more assured and capable. He or she should adopt useful and effective study techniques and
take into account elements that can aid in or distract them from their studies.
According to Sheera (2012): Study habits are affected by the following factors, a
student's age, the environment at home, the learning materials, the television, laptop games, and
social network (Facebook), the students' resolve and aspirations, the parents' wealth and
economic standing, encompassing items like a wall unit or a games room, etc.
Additionally, students' comfort level, the amplitude, the lighting, the rule of the
faculties, the lecturers' teaching style, the leisure of the students, some activities in faculties, the
availability of the library, the nature of friends and generation, assignments and preparation
requirements, students' parents' educational backgrounds, parents who are unwilling and
forceful about helping their children study, housework, family issues, procrastination, and poor
the attention they deserve. In order for the students to have a good academic performance and a
more hopeful future, special concern needs to be given to them. The student's parents are also
responsible for helping their child learn how to study efficiently. As a parent, he or she should
be aware of what has to be done and assist in helping the child acquire the study skills
necessary for academic achievement. The child's achievement will be aided by the parent's
parenting techniques and the relationship he or she develops with the school. Since teachers are
the ones who implant knowledge and information in students' brains and serve as their
mentors, they have a significant influence on the study habits of pupils. A teacher can instruct
and encourage student to follow effective study habits without discouraging them. He or she has
a significant impact on a student's educational experience, thus they need to know how to
This study aims to ascertain the study practices of the Toledo S. Pantilo Sr. Memorial

habits; the school, and its administrators, who will gain insights on how they can improve the
