At the End of the Rainbow

My friend Sam and I were playing in the field behind my house. The weather was strange.
Sometimes the sun came out and it was sunny and
sometimes, there was a bit of rain. We built a
straw house. It was fun. Then, I looked up and I
saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky. We all know
that famous story – at the end of
the rainbow, there is a pot of gold!
Sam and I decided to find the end
of the rainbow. It seemed to end
at the top of a hill at the end of
the next field. First, we climbed over a fence. We
saw a hedgehog with two babies, they were cute!
Then we crossed the field. We heard a bird
singing, it was beautiful. We reached the top of
the hill, but now the rainbow seemed to end in the
forest beyond the hill. We looked around and the
panorama was amazing. As we came down the hill, some goats came up to us and we stroked
them. At the foot of the hill, there was a stream. We crossed it on stepping stones but my
friend Sam fell in the stream. She was quite wet and we laughed about it. Eventually we
reached the forest where the rainbow ended. By now, there were no clouds in the sky. There
was no more rain and the sun was shining brightly. The rainbow was gone. So we did not find
the pot of gold, but we did not care because we had a lovely time. By Petra
