COUNSELING PART
Counselor(Me) : Hey, it's nice to meet you today. Tell
me your problem..

Angellique : I'm just having a lot of trouble with school

lately. I feel like I'm not doing well in my classes and it's
stressing me out.

Counselor(Me) : That sounds really tough. Can you give

me some examples of the specific challenges you're
facing?

Angellique : Well, I'm struggling to keep up with

homework and projects. And I'm not understanding a
lot of the material we're covering in class. It's like I'm
falling behind and can't catch up.

Counselor(Me) : I see. That does sound overwhelming.

Can you tell me a little bit about your daily routine and
how you're approaching your schoolwork?

Angellique : Um, well, usually I just try to get through

the day and then do my homework at night. But I end
up staying up really late and not getting enough sleep.
And some days I just don't feel motivated to work on
anything.
Counselor(Me) : It sounds like you're dealing with a lot
right now. I'm wondering if there are any other factors
that might be contributing to these challenges? Like,
are you dealing with any difficult emotions or stress
outside of school?

Angellique : Yeah, actually, things at home have been

really chaotic lately. My parents have been fighting a
lot more and it's making me feel really anxious.

Counselor(Me) : That makes a lot of sense. It's hard to

focus on school when you're dealing with so much
stress, especially at home where you're supposed to
feel safe and supported. Is there anyone in your life
that you can talk to about what's going on?

Angellique : I mean, I have some friends I could talk to.

But I don't really know how to bring it up. I feel kind of
embarrassed.

Counselor(Me) : There's nothing embarrassing about

needing support. And it takes a lot of courage to open
up to someone, even a close friend. It sounds like you
could use someone to talk to and maybe get some help
brainstorming solutions to some of these challenges.
Angellique : Yeah, that sounds like it could be helpful.

Counselor(Me) : I'm also wondering if there are any

specific strategies we could work on together to help
you manage your stress and stay on top of your
schoolwork. For example, maybe we could come up
with a schedule for your homework assignments and
plan out some time for self-care, like taking breaks or
doing things you enjoy.

Angellique : That could be really helpful. I feel like I'm

just kind of lost right now.

Counselor(Me) : It's totally understandable to feel that

way. But you're not alone and there are people who
want to help you. That includes me as well as your
teachers, friends, and family. I'm really glad you came in
today to talk about what's been going on. And I'm here
to listen and support you as we work through some of
these challenges together.

Angellique: thank you for your help I really appreciate

your sincerity..
COUNSELING...

As a counselor ,Counseling students was quite impactful
and insightful. Iqt provided the opportunity to understand
different perspectives and roles of counselors, as well as
some of the challenges they have to navigate.

From the reflection, it seems that the activity helped to

reinforce the importance of having good communication
skills, being empathetic and being able to understand
and manage emotions. Counseling students can be a
challenging task, and it requires patience,
understanding, and creativity to ensure that each
student gets the help they need.

Overall, it is a positive experience to gain insight into
