~~~~LOCAL BATTLE GAMEPLAY SETTINGS:~~~~
COM Level (not available in Online Battle) - adjusts the difficulty level of AI
players. Low, Medium, High, Intense.
Match Number - how many matches need to be won by a player or a team to win the
entire battle. Can range from 1 to 5.
Time Limit - how much time will it take before the match is declared a draw. Can
range from 0:35 to 9:55 in increments of 5 seconds, Infinite option is also
available.
Sudden Death - whether or not the pressure blocks will fill up the entire arena
after Hurry Up.
- Off - Pressure blocks will leave a small ring in the middle of the stage.
- On - Pressure blocks will fill up the entire stage. The pattern in which
pressure blocks fill it up is always the same.
- Random - Pressure blocks will fill up the entire stage. The pattern in
which pressure blocks fill it up is randomized.
Shuffle - what positions on the stage players start the match in.
- Off - Players start the match always in the same positions dependent on
their controller port.
- Player Swap - Players are randomly shuffled in their positions before the
match starts.
- All Positions - Similar to Player Swap, except the stage always uses the
starting point configuration for the maximum number of players it can have.
- Random - With a few exceptions (Robo Bomber stages, center spawn stages),
starting points are completely randomized. This option is enforced if you choose to
play with more than 8 players on a Standard size stage.
Revenge Bomber - whether or not defeated players will be put in revenge carts and
allowed to throw bombs into the arena until Hurry Up.
- Off - defeated players do not participate in the match anymore.
- On - players are put in revenge carts if they are defeated before Hurry Up.
- Super (not available in Online Battle) - players who manage to defeat
another player while on a revenge cart return to the main arena.
- Hyper (not available in Online Battle) - players who defeat another player
while on a revenge cart return to the arena and gain all the items the opponents
had.
Bonus Game - currently disabled in all modes.
Bomb Fuse - how long does it take for bombs to explode. Can be Normal or Fast.
Speed Scaling - how fast are the players at the start of the match and how much
speed do they gain/lose with each speed-altering item. Can be Normal or Fast.
Hurry Time - when does the Hurry Up sequence begin. Only works if Time Limit is not
infinite.
Hurry End - when is the last pressure block dropped. Note that if Sudden Death is
On or Random, setting this to 0:00 results in the arena not being filled up on Time
Up.
Player Carry - whether or not the Power Glove and Super Power Glove items allow
players to carry and throw other players with them.
- Off - players can never grab other players.
- Pre-Hurry (not available in Online Battle) - players lose the ability to
grab other players after the Hurry Up begins.
- Always (not available in Online Battle) - players can always grab and throw
other players.
Skull Type - decides what happens when a player with a Skull item touches another
player.
- Tag - diseased player passes over the disease to another player and loses
the disease. Picking up any item but the Louie egg causes a Skull-infected disease
to end.
- Spread - diseased player spreads the infection, does not lose it on contact
with another player. Picking up an item does not cure any diseases.
Item Interaction - decides what happens when an item is burned with an explosion.
- All Burnable - all items can be destroyed by blasts.
- Evil Fireproof - only the Skull item can survive the bomb blasts.
- All Fireproof - all items will jump away when blasted.
Item Scatter - whether or not defeated players will scatter their items all over
the stage.
Revenge Type - type of the Revenge Bomber ships.
- Rapid - ships can quickly fire weak 1-tile-ranged bombs.
- Default - ship fires 2-tile-ranged bombs, one at a time in normal
conditions.
- Slide - like Default, except bombs slide forward after landing.
- Power - ship fires 3-tile-ranged cherry bombs, reload is slightly longer.
Revenge Lock - if set to above 0:00, Revenge Bomber ships will not be allowed to
fire until a set time passes after the match begins. Can be used to discourage
self-destructing to quickly trap unprepared foes.
Special Bomb - decides how many bombs in player's stock become special bombs if
player has a specific bomb upgrade item.
- Works on Power Bombs, Mine Bombs, Tracing Bombs, Dangerous Bombs, Heavy
Bombs, Magnet Bombs, RC Bombs and Crumble Bombs.
- For example, if a player picks up a Power Bomb and the option is set to
All, all of their bombs will become Power Bombs rather than just the first one they
set on the stage.
- Bomb upgrades not listed above always work on all bombs in players' stock.
Explosion Type - sets the behavior of bombs' explosion.
- Spread - explosions of the bombs take a split of a second to fully spread
on the stage. Explosions of bigger range will linger slightly longer than the
shorter ones.
- Instant - explosions of the bombs cover their maximum range instantly and
the Fire Up items have no influence on their duration. This setting is enforced on
the Retro stage even if it's not set in the options.
Pressure Power - how much damage does a player hit by a Pressure Block (a block
appearing on the stage during Hurry Up) takes.
- Point Damage - player takes the same amount of punishment as that caused by
explosions. This might favor players on Louies or with Heart items and gives these
players an opportunity to leave a pressure block if next to a still empty tile.
- Instant KO - pressure blocks override Louies, Heart and Vest items and
defeat players instantly.
Carry Bomb Timer - changed the behavior of a bomb picked up with a Power Glove or
Super Power Glove.
- Reset - bombs always return to their starting fuse time when picked up.
- Pause - bombs' fuse is paused while players carry them.
- No Stop - bombs' fuse continues to run out while players carry them. If a
bomb is out of fuse while player carries it, it's released in front of the player.
If the player has a Super Power Glove, the bomb's fuse is paused until it becomes a
Dangerous Bomb.
~~~~LOUIES:~~~~

Some of the battlefields might contain eggs. Touching one of these will yield you a
Louie - a kangaroo-like creature that will aid you with its special ability and
protect you from taking one hit.

- Blue - Kicks bombs in front of you. This acts like the Bomb Punch powerup.
- Pink - Do a jump. Can jump over one impassable tile and/or short explosions.
- Green - Very quickly rolls forward until stopped by an obstacle. Good for dodging
and hoarding items.
- Yellow - Kicks soft blocks in front of you. Kicked softblocks pass their momentum
to another one, creating chain reactions. Great for early game.
- Purple - Lays out all your available bombs in front of you, like the Line Bomb
item.
- Red - Punches other players, stunning them for a short moment and creating a
great opportunity to trap them between two bombs.
- Orange - Uses her helmet to block explosions coming from the direction you're
facing in. Also protects you from getting stunned with bombs from above if not
holding the C button.
- Brown - Shoots.
- Metal - Takes two hits instead of one. After taking one hit, the player is slowed
down until this Louie is destroyed completely.
- Black - Creates a skull curse, applying it to the player, or removes player's
curse. Try using this ability close to your opponents to infect them when they're
not expecting it.

~~~~ONLINE:~~~~
Online mode should require no setup to play if you're not going to host your own
server.
How to play:
- It is highly recommended that you get some people to play with outside of the
game. You can try our Discord server for that: https://discord.gg/Y4DE5Cu
- Select the Online Battle option in the Battle Mode screen.
- Change your nickname and characters.
- Select a server. By default there should be at least one option. You can find out
whether or not the default server is up by just selecting it to try and connect or
checking up the status on the Discord.
- One of the players should create the room. When you select the option in the Room
List, you can set up the name of your room, the password and the limit of players.
These settings can't be changed after creating the room.
- The person who created the room can change the settings by pressing the C button.
People who join the room can use the C button to change their characters without
leaving the room.
- Everyone in the room should confirm they are ready to play. The leader of the
room can then start the game.
- Note that while you can change your characters while remaining in a room, you
can't change the number of players you have. You will need to leave the room for
that.
- CPU players and carrying other players with the Power Glove is disabled in online
matches.
- If the game speed starts becoming consistently slow for you during an online
battle, it is highly recommended you try out the Frameskip and FX Quality switches
to see if you can get a better performance. To do so, press F5 or F6 during the
battle.
You can also input some text commands through the chat.
/lobby - the room leader can use this command to bring the game back to the lobby
at any point after starting it.
/close - closes the room.
/clear - clears out all the chat messages.
/kick *nickname* - kicks a player out of the room if you are the room leader. Can
be used at any point, including after starting the match.
/mute *nickname* - mutes another player, preventing their chat messages from
reaching you.
/unmute *nickname* - unmutes a player. If they post new messages, they will appear
again.
/mute all - disables any chat messages from other players. This does not block
messages issued by the server's owner.
/unmute all - reverts the effect of /mute all and/or unmutes all individually muted
players.
/kicknumber *number* - like the /kick command, but instead of the nickname you have
to provide the number of the player within the room. Handy if you can't or don't
want to rewrite a player's nickname. Write the command without a number and you'll
get the list of numbers you can use with this command.
/mutenumber *number* - analogical to /kicknumber and /mute.
/unmutenumber *number* - self-explanatory.
~~~~HINTS:~~~~

- Prioritize certain items over the others. When you're low on powerups, getting a
Speed Up might help you snatch other items before your foes get to them.
- Before you pick up a Louie egg, take a quick look at your surroundings. If
there's a bomb about to go off, sometimes you might want to wait for a bit before
getting the egg in order to dodge the incoming explosion during the initial jump
animation.
- Keep in mind that every bomb you create can damage you and can be triggered by
other bombs in a chain reaction. If the situation around you is too chaotic, you
might want to act defensively and not set any bombs for a while.
- Bombs can destroy green-framed items (on default settings, every item but the
Skull is green-framed). Sometimes it might be favorable to destroy a valuable item
with a kicked bomb if you know for sure you can't reach it before your enemy.
- Know the bomb cooking tactic. If you have the Power Glove, put a bomb down and
wait until it's just about to explode before you pick it up. Then, you can walk
around to get the perfect position in order to catch your opponent off-guard and
blast them nearly immediately. Throw the bomb and get out of its blast range, as it
will explode as soon as it lands depending on your timing. Note that this tactic
does not work if the Carry Bomb Timer setting is not set to Pause - in case of No
Stop, a similar strat is possible, but much harder to pull off.
- While in Revenge cart, you can manipulate the distance your bombs are launched
at. Just hold the A button for a longer time.
- To punch/drill the bomb behind you without accidentally kicking it, hold the C
button while turning around.
- You can grab and toss opponents using the Power Glove. However, if you hesitate
to throw them away quickly, they might get out of your clutches. Note that this
can't happen in Online matches and you can toggle whether or not you want this in
the Gameplay settings.
- If you get grabbed by a foe with Power Glove, press A, B or C button repeatedly
to force a release.
- While standing on a seesaw, you can use the Juggle Glove to throw the bomb onto
the other side and launch yourself into the air.

~~~~REMOVING DATA:~~~~
In case if you wanted to remove the game's save files or reset your progress,
they're stored in the folder:
C:\Users\*yourusername*\AppData\Local\pb
Delete the entire folder to wipe out any data created by the game.
In case if you only want to reset your character unlocking progress, you can open
the data.bin file and erase the CHARUNLOCK section.
You can remove the data.bin file altogether to reset your character unlocking
progress and your Bombercoin wallet.
If you encounter configuration problems (for example with controls), you can remove
the config.ini to restore the game to the default settings.
