Suggested Fun-filled Activity : 1. Carousel Game

Mechanics:

1. The class will be divided into 2 groups, and will form a circle – small circle is the inner circle and
large circle is the outer circle. Inner and outer circles will face each other.
2. The teacher will ask either the inner or outer circle will to move.
3. The teacher will project in the PowerPoint keywords. Each pair will discuss about them.
4. Step 2 will continue until all of the students in the inner and outer circle will face each other.

For Intervention Camp: Demonstration by the Teacher

Demo Title: Hot or Cold water?

Materials: Salt, hot water, cold water, tap water, timer

Procedure:

1. Students will observe the teacher that will do the demonstration.


2. The teacher will put the same amount of salt in each glass of water with
different temperatures. As the teacher put the salt into the glass of
water, students will set the timer for each set up.
3. Students will then record the time the salt will dissolve in a table form.

Experiment Activity

Materials: 3 same glasses filled with the same amount of water, sugar

Procedure:

1. Students will be group in 3.


2. Put 1 spoon of sugar in the 1st glass of water. In the 2nd glass of water, put 2 spoons of
sugar, and then, put 3 spoons of sugar in the 3 rd glass of water.
3. Taste the water and then rank the level of sweetness as 1 as the sweetest. Use the
table below to record your observation.

4. Answer the following guide questions for your conclusion.


a. What did you use to measure the sugar?
b. What is one of the things that you must keep the same in your investigation?
c. What should you do if you can’t decide which of the 3 amounts of sugar is
just right for your taste?
d. What else should you do to make sure that you keep the same in your
investigation?
e. In the morning, found out that you liked your milk best when you used 5 g of
sugar in your cup of milk. If you cup held 200 mL what is the concentration of
sugar that you like best?

Procedure:

1. Mix water and sand in a separate container.


2. Filter the water through the use of filter paper.
3. Observe the water as it passes through the filter
paper.
4. Observe the filter paper.
5. Answer the questions below.
