INTERVIEW WITH THE OWNER
Business: The Friday (Fast Food & Restaurant)
Owner: Mr. Ammad

This interview assignment required us to interview an entrepreneur in the


business field. Since our emphasis is on Hospitality and Management, we had
chosen a fast-food restaurant named The Friday. The owner Mr. Ammad has
led this restaurant into the right path, and local people would like to go there
for their dining. We were so impressed that we would interview the owner and
see if this was the business that I could trust with such a successful restaurant.
We asked Mr Ammad to introduce himself and guide us about the physical
presence of the restaurant. He told us that he belongs from Sowan garden. So
he opened his first brand in Sowan Garden and second one in Jinnah Garden.
Afterwards, we asked him about any failures faced by the business. To which
he answered that the business suffered a lot due to COVID-19, but they didn’t
loose hope and kept putting effort. They have more than 10 employees and
they didn’t fire anyone during these difficult times. When asked about the
best-selling product, Mr. Ammad told us that their fast food such as Pizza and
Burgers are the most selling products. Upon asking why he chose to target Fast
Food rather than any other business; he answered that demand of customer
for Fast Food is high here. They have the top chefs, and a lot of customers are
loyal to their taste for about more than 3 years now. Then we asked about
what inspired him to develop this business idea. To which he answered that he
always had interest in opening a Fast-Food business so after completing his
studies he quickly jumped into it after analyzing the great market demand for
it. As the number of students are more in Sowan Garden but the competition
was about zero, so he quickly grasped this opportunity. Upon asking about
Social Media presence, he told us that it is available on Facebook and
Instagram. Recently, they are in process of launching an app too. In last, he
gave advice to us as students to start from something be it small but to take
initiative which is the first step. According to him, no work is small. When you
step into the business you will get to know or see the strengths and
weaknesses from near which will give you a bigger picture of the story.
Nowadays, he can proudly say that he had worked in every part of his
restaurant before getting to the top. Mr. Ammad obtained his skills working as
owner of the café. In food marketing, as a chef.
Moreover, he even worked as an employee of several outstanding chefs that
are well-known everywhere. The road towards becoming an owner of the
restaurant were long, challenging, and laborious; nonetheless, according to the
words of Mr. Ammad, it was worth it without any doubts.
