Draw a basic circuit with a battery switch and bulb. If the battery has a voltage of
9-volt, what is the electric current through the bulb? Represent the element to
measure the electric current.

The electric current is 9mA

2. Draw a circuit with a 9-volt battery, a switch, and two bulbs in series.

a. What is the electric current through each bulb?

b. What is the voltage across bulb 1?
c. What is the voltage across bulb 2?

Represent the elements to measure the electric current and the voltage.

a. The electric current is 45mA

b. The voltage across bulb 1 is 4.5V
c. The voltage across bulb 2 is 4.5V

3. Draw a single circuit with a motor under the following circumstances:

a. The motor only works if you activate a NO push-button.

b. The circuit also has a bright light that turns on when the motor is
running.
c. If the bulb burns out, the motor will continue running.

4. Draw a circuit with a 9-volt battery and the following characteristics:

- It has three light bulbs in parallel. Each light bulb is controlled by a different
switch, and when a switch is closed, only its bulb turns off.

a. What is the electric current through each bulb?

b. What is the voltage across the bulbs?

Represent the elements to measure the electric current and the voltage.

a) 83,4mA 83,4mA 167mA b) 1,63V 1,63V 3,27V

5. Draw a circuit with a 9-volt battery, a switch and two push-buttons. The switch
controls the whole circuit. Add the following:

- A bulb, which must be controlled by a NO button.

- A motor in parallel to the bulb, controlled by a NC push-button.

6. Draw the circuit:

a. A motor with a NC push-button that stops it running if pressed.

b. Add to the circuit in (a) a light bulb that turns on when the engine is
running.

c. Finally, the bulb will turn off when the engine stops running.

7. Draw a circuit, in which, when activating a 3-way switch switches on a light

bulb and a motor will be switched off.
8. Assemble the following circuit. Indicate which control device must be activated so that the
different receivers of the circuit are turned on.

The control that activated the circuit is de switch I1.

9. Implement the circuit, take notes of what you see and answer the questions.

a. What elements appear in the circuit?

b. What can be a use of the circuit in the figure? Explain it, please.

c. Copy and paste in the answer sheet of the practice the four possible
situations depending on the switching device.

a. A battery with 9V, two 3-way switch and one bulb after the 3-way switch
b. Two switches in the corridor of my house, one at the beginning of that and another at
the end.
c.
10. Assemble the following circuits. Write down next to each one of them the
explanation of what happens when you press the control device.

If you active the up switch the bell When you move the 3-way switch

but, if you active the down switch the bulb move again the motor puts off.

light with the same voltage as others.

11. Implement the circuit and answer the questions: Draw a basic circuit with a
battery, controlled by a switch and three resistances R=100 Ω in series. If the battery
has a voltage of 9-volt,

a. What is the electric current through each resistance? Are they the
same? Why?

b. What is the voltage in each resistance?

c. What happens if we remove one of the resistances? Why?

Represent the elements to measure the electric current and voltage in each resistance.

a. The electric current of all of the resistors is 14A. Yes it is the same, because there
are in series.

b. The voltage is the same in all of the resistances, there is 3V.

c. The voltage up at 4.5V, because the voltage divides on the resistance and when
there are on resistance less the voltage up.

12. Implement the circuit and answer the questions: Draw a basic circuit with a
battery, controlled by a switch and three resistances R=100 Ω in parallel. If the battery
has a voltage of 9-volt.

a. What is the voltage in each resistance?

b. What is the electric current through each resistance? Are they the same?
Why?

c. What happens if we remove one of the resistances? Why?

Represent the elements to measure the electric current and voltage in each
resistance.

a. 9V
b. 90A in all of them, because the resistances are in parallel.
c. Nathing with the voltage and with the electric current too, because there are
in parallel.
