2. HALF WALL SHELTERS FOR LARGE PROCESS EQUIPMENT

2.1 Project Specific Information

2.1.1 Shelters shall be located in accordance to position and orientation as outlined on Suban gas plant
layout drawing.

2.1.2 Two shelters of this type are required for Suban plant power generators and instrument air
compressors.

2.1.3 This type of building may be used to shelter large process equipment

2.1.4 Suban plant power generators include units 247-GTG-101, 247-GTG-102 and 247-DEG-101.
Future unit will be added 247-GTG-103

2.1.5 Suban plant instrument air compressor units are 251-K-101A and 251-K-101B

2.2 Shelter Dimension

2.2.1 Depending upon space required during unit overhaul or other major maintenance services
building shall be dimensioned to provide a minimum of 3m clearance around perimeter of generator and
1.5m around instrument air compressor skids or outer limits to edge of concrete floor slab required
spacing between adjacent unit shall be 4m for generators and 2m for instrument air compressors. This
minimum spacing between units shall be sufficient to allow access for maintenance. The roof height
should be sufficient to accommodate units, accessories as air intake, exhaust system, fuel and lubricant
supply system and unit overhaul system.

2.2.2 Allowance should be considered in design for future building extension to accommodate future
generator unit.

2.3 Structural Description

2.3.1 Power generator shelter shall be half open shelter steel building with roof ridge monitor for heat
releaser. Structure of building should be rigid frame type for building main frame, properly braced with
complete hangers and supported by individual reinforced concrete spread footing foundation. Roof and
cladding should be corrugated metal sheet completed with roof gutters. Heavy duty reinforced concrete
slab is required for building floor, non-monolithic to equipment foundation and shelter foundation. Metal
sheet claddings around building are half way down to 3 m above floor level. Water down pipe from roof
gutter should have individual splash box. Roof fascia required along end of purlins.

2.3.2 be half open shelter steel building under single plane roof. Structure of building should be
common steel frame, properly braced with complete hangers and supported by individual reinforced
concrete spread footing foundation. Roof and cladding should be corrugated metal sheet completed with
roof gutters. Medium duty reinforced concrete slab is required for building floor, non-monolithic to
equipment foundation and shelter foundation. Metal sheet claddings around building are half way down
to 2 m above floor level. Water down pipe from roof gutter should have individual splash box.

Water treatment package 252-A-101.

3.2 Shelter Dimension

3.2.1 This shelter shall be dimensioned to provide a minimum of 1.0 m clearance around perimeter of
pump skids to edge of concrete floor slab and adjacent unit. This minimum spacing between units shall
be sufficient to allow access for maintenance. Roof height should be minimum 2.4 m.

3.2.2 Structural Description

3.2.3 Type of building should be open shelter steel building under single plane roof. Structure of
building should be common steel frame, properly braced with complete hangers, supported by individual
reinforced concrete spread footing foundation. Roof material should be corrugated metal sheet
completed with roof gutters. Medium duty reinforced concrete slab is required for building floor.
