1 Influence of k-pop on youth creativity

2 K-pop's origin

K-pop is Korean popular music, but it is not limited to pop as the name may suggest. The present form of K-pop
includes different musical genres under its umbrella , including rock, hip hop and electronic music.

It is a fairly new form of music, which was formed around the 1990s with increased liberalisation of media and
further developments in communication technology in South Korea.

3 K-pop's origin

It was in this environment of pop culture curiosity and economic prosperity that 'Seo Taiji and Boys', a band, first
took South Korea by storm.

It began in 1992 with one electric hip-hop TV performance by Seo Taiji and Boys — a single “Nan Arayo (I Know)”.

4 A global phenomenon

In the 1990s, the world witnessed a 'Korean wave'. The phenomenon, called Hallyu in Chinese, refers to increasing
popularity of South Korean culture globally.

By 2000s, K-pop had caught the attention of the global audience. And in 2012 Gangnam Style took K-pop 's
popularity to greater heights.

5 Most popular K-pop artists

It's no secret that BTS is a sensation and so is Blackpink , Super Junior ,Girls 'Generation, EXO, (G) I-DLE, Red
Velvet, Mamamoo и Kard.

All these groups have different concepts and gives an inspiring message each time they come out with an album or
a single.

6 K-pop: Culture-specific Pop Music

K-pop’s uniqueness lies in its skill in combining traditional elements specific to Korean culture with Western-
oriented pop music.

K-pop has introduced ancestral culture to younger generations displayed in melodies, choreography and the visual
elements of music videos, such as costumes (e.g. BTS’s song “Idol” and Peggy Gou’s “Starry Night”).

7 reality TV shows

The Korean music industry has spawned numerous related reality TV shows, including talent shows such
as Superstar K and k-pop Star, and many 'survival' shows, which commonly pit trainees against each other in order
to form a new idol group.

8 K-FUN ENTERTAINMENT

K-FUN ENTERTAINMENT has launched a large-scale Ukraine-Korea Forever program.

It gives a great opportunity for young people to develop creatively in the field of k-pop and realize their dreams

were created: female group FOTS (rap, vocals, choreography), DONTSAVEME (male rap group), Blaze (mixed cover
band), Enodis (female cover band)

9 Elnaz Koksaeva
Anyone with a passion for K-pop culture can become a dancer and singer.

Elnaz Koksaeva was fond of K-pop culture back in the days of Super juniors, GG.

Later she opened two projects - Oxy and Oxy. juniors, which participated in the K-POP FEST in Kyrgyzstan and
became finalists.

10 Alexey Pak

Alexey Pak, dancer, leader of the Dream Light group.

Thanks to k-pop, his dance level has grown significantly.

Then he had a real love of dancing and the idea to create a group.

At K-POP FEST 2017 KYRGYZSTAN, the group came in second place.

11 Fan projects

Fan projects foster creativity, artistic talent and organisational skills in the young fans—this includes making
thousands of banners, creating fan art and merchandise, as well as taking photos for fan sites that rival
professional photographers’ skills.

12 Fan art

BTS fans have proven time and again that their talents are limitless.

Fan art is nothing new, but the idea, color scheme, style, and even the image can be very different.
