Rats bite can lead to a serious infection.


Our classic explains total 18 types of
rats.
Rat poisoning mainly due to semen of
rat.
Ankola is used as antidote for many
poisonous bites mainly in rat poisoning.

Mooshika Visha lakshanas
जायन्ते ग्रन्थयः शोफाः कर्णिका मण्डलानि च ।
पिडकोपचयश्चोग्रो विसर्पाः किटिभानि च ।।८।
पर्वभेदो रुजस्तीव्रा मूर्च्छाऽङ्गसदनं ज्वरः ।
दौर्बल्यमरुचिः श्वासो वमुथर्लोमहर्षणम् ।। ९ ।।
दष्टरूपं समासोक्तमेतद्व्यासमतः शृणु ।

शुक्रं पतति यत्रैषां शुक्रदिग्धैः स्पृशन्ति वा ।
यदङ्गमङ्गैस्तत्राम्रे दूषिते पाण्डुतां गते ॥ ३ ॥
ग्रन्थयः श्वयथुः कोठो मण्डलानि भ्रमोऽरुचिः ।॥
शीतज्वरोऽतिरुक्सादो वेपथुः पर्वभेदनम् ॥ ४
रोमहर्षः सुतिर्मूर्च्छा दीर्घकालानुबन्धनम् ।
श्लेष्मानुबद्धबह्वाखुपोतकच्छर्दनं सतृट् ॥ ५

The ankola having major phytochemical
constitutes like alangine A and B, alangicine,
markindine, lamarckinine and emetine.
Phytochemical studies of fruits and seeds
revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids,
phenols, steroids, glycosides, tannins, oils and
fats, saponins and fatty acids.
